Is that 60 when you are turning it over, but it will not start? Is it 60 when you turn the key to on and not try to start it? There are also 2 individual wires on the low-pressure pump. They push on. Over the years those wires loosen up and need just a little crimp to make sure they make good contact. Sometimes while replacing the high-pressure pump filter, they come off. How long before it starts again?Wake Up or Stay On Shore!

Still going to ask a few more questions to get thru troubleshooting.
Does it turn over but just does not start?
Can you get a fuel pressure reading while it is turning over and or when you turn the key to on? What is it?
When you turn the key on can you hear both pumps working and I assume you are getting 60 psi then?
If you are not getting a fuel pressure reading or it is low or goes to 60 but falls off while the pumps are still working, I would look at the pumps for this issue. Also check to make sure the vent is working and you are not building a vacuum in the tank.
You can disconnect the fuel line that goes from the low-pressure pump to the high-pressure pump. Put a hose on it and turn on the key and fill a clear bottle up to look at the fuel. look for water and or contaminates. Smell it. Does it smell good? The pressure and volume will be low. 3 to 5 psi.
If this pump is working, then check the high pressure one. I have replaced two in the past 2 years. The first one only ran for 10 to 15 minutes and crapped out. Old one gave out first. That was last year. This year replaced with a new one and all has been golden. This is a link to one I replaced it with. Us Motor Works Electric Fuel Pump P N Usep2340 | eBay These high pressure pumps from marine suppliers are sold out usually and a lot more expensive. Easy to replace and while you are there do the filter. Racor R58011-10 Marine Power Fuel Filter Element 10 Micron Replaces 396007 | eBay This is part of the water separator.
Now I must also mention this. Do you have good "fresh" fuel in the tank? Not a year old, or has ethanol in it or even Stay-bil from a year or more ago and you have just added fuel to the old gas. I did the same and it still was not good enough to solve the issue. This could be the problem with not being able to get it to start till it cools down. BAD GAS! I had to drain out 35 gallons of old bad and ethanol fuel with Stay-bil in it. That really sucked but in the end to get my boat to run properly it had to be done. But that fuel sure made for some great brush pile starter. Mine could barely light a small amount on the concrete with a match. Ethanol gas goes bad quick.
Now to drain the tank remove the low pressure line in from the high pressure pump. Put a hose on it. Hook some wires to the low pressure pump and energize it to let the pump run and empty your tank and then add back in good grade fresh gas. Remember we are supposed to run 91 octane or better in these engines. 89 octane and ethanol and a few weeks to months it will be bad for sure.
Now the next thing to troubleshoot when it does shut down is for spark. Pull a plug wire, start the engine and look for spark. If you are not getting spark then there is another route to troubleshoot that issue.
Let me know how this troubleshooting goes.
