    PROPELLER SIZE

    Hello, i have a 2016 TIGE RZX with Raptor 400 and 1:5:1 transmission and with a 16x17 prop im getting 2k rpm and with 14x14.25 prop im getting 3.5k rpm 14 mph under load im at 4,100 feet what prop would you guys recommend ?

    I’ve got the same boat, and generally run at a similar elevation, and use an Acme 2949, which is a 15x11. It’s been ok at that elevation, we also run higher, at 5000’-6000’, it still struggles some, with a big crew. It does limit top end, I think tach’d out, it’s somewhere around 36-37mph. It really struggled with higher pitches, but you could probably get away with 12-12.5” pitch, if you don’t run with a bunch of crew weight. I think Acme will send you props to try, assuming they still do it, to see what works best for you.
