    Difficult turning left

Hello, I am new to both Tigé boats and this forum. I recently purchased a 2018 RZX3 with 140 hours on it. I’m reaching out to see if the issue we’re experiencing is a normal tendency and inherent to a V-drive or if I truly have an issue.

When sitting in the water at idle, the amount of effort to turn the steering wheel both to the left and right is easy and consistent. However, the faster the boat is moving the more difficult it is to turn to the left. Turning to the right is always easy. At 20mph my wife actually has difficulty turning the steering wheel to the left.

I’ve taken it to the dealership three times and they are saying that this is normal. Is this true?

    Thanks,

    Martin Kosar

Yes, turning left can be harder than right due to the rotation of the prop wash. The 3 different inboards I have driven all have been differing amounts of force to turn left, some barely noticeable to great force. There is now a power steering option that has come to the market to help inboard steering.
