Have a new 2024 Z1 2nd time out on the lake and the blue screen flicker also happened to me. Went to my dealer today and they said alot of times the factory screws them on too tight and causes the waterproof seal to crack and the camera gets wet and malfunctions. Told me it takes literally 5 minutes to change it out and anyone can do it.
Hi All,
I just replaced mine with the VCAHD140L minus the housing from RV Cams. Tim from RV Cams was amazing. Delivered to AUSTRALIA for cheaper and quicker than I could source it here.
Thanks Matto.
Question... I have found the camera on RV Cams that you mentioned. You obviously removed it from the housing but is the camera unit hardwired to the cable or does it have a plug? i.e. replace camera unit only and replug to existing wire/cable, or did you have to run the cable/wire all the way back up to the helm?
Just trying to get an idea of what I'm in for if I choose to replace it on my own.
