    RZ2 / R22 Hull Porpoising.........

Anybody with the RZ2 / R22 picklefork hull have issues with the boat porpoising when you hit25 mph or so?

I've tried moving the center plate, filling ballast with half water.............can't figure out why this is happening. Very frustrating.

Try moving the TAPS to a lower number to get the bow down.

Tried that with little to no success. I basically have my hand on the throttle ready to slow down all the time now.

Try adding some bow weight then.

Are your able to physically see the taps plate move?

If you have several people in the back and none in the front it may porpoise. I can drive over 30mph with no porpoising in mine but I have my taps plate at 1 or 2.

This is a rare complaint with this hull. I'd inspect the TAPS plate. Fully deployed, it should be below the hull by an inch or so. I would also consider adding a .5" spacer between the actuator and plat. This adds a little more depth.

I typicall have my center plate (taps) at 1 or 2 also. People are usually in the back, but this shouldn't be an issue unless there are 5+ people in the rear and nobody in the front?

TAPS plate works good. It really slows the boat down and raised the bow when deployed. By deduction............maybe put some water in the front when there are only 4 or 5 people sitting in the rear?

This is what happens when the TAPS plate is retracted. Deployed, as in down, creates rear lift, thus pushing the bow into the water. Again, is the plate traveling below the hull when fully deployed. Just so there is no confusion, 1 is all the deployed/down and 8 is fully up/retracted.
