DIY surf gate install '05 22V

This will be our 3rd summer owning our 2005 Tige 22V. I have been super happy with the boat and it's reliability so far. We've been able to set it up for surf with ballast bags and a suck gate but now I'm looking into installing something more user friendly and automatic. I've seen some threads out there and doesn't look overly complicated. Just some actuators and a flat panel of some sort on a hinge at the rear of the boat (sure that's an over simplification).

Does anyone have knowledge of these tabs or actuators. Seems too good and easy to be true, just install on the back of the boat and run wires to a switch.

The tabs are too short, the tabs need to be longer to get the boat side of the actuator closer to the tab hinge, by doing this you will have the room you need to fit the actuators and get the needed range of motion.

Got it, after looking at it for a while and realizing they were only 12" wide and 9" long I figured that looked a bit too small. But the general principal would work I suppose and you could make the electronics/activating of the actuators as simple or as complicated as you'd like as far as controlling them I guess.
