    Hows my wave look?

Hows my wave look? Just trying to fine tune my wave on my 2007 RZ2. I think I have it pretty good, but I don't have another boat to compare it to. This is with a homemade shaper, and custom ballast. IMG_3158.JPG

This is 1100 lbs surfside rear, 750lbs offside rear, 600lbs in bow (300 each side), plus 100lbs of lead in bow. Taps set to 4, and speed set to 12.6 (gps speed is really around 10.6). Also I have a homemade wake shaper furthest back on the hull right about at the waterline. I usually ride with only one or two other guys.

Looks good. Have you tried TAPS at 3 and speed at 11.2?

I have and any other combination seems to flatten it out or make it short and steep.

Do you happen to remember how you made your DIY wake shaper? Wave looks great!

Here are some pictures of mine. It's just a cutting board and a piece of acrylic plexiglass. Angled at 60º and the plate is 8" wide x 9" tall.

What would you charge for such a device? Would it float if it came off?

Probably around $80. I'd have to look up material cost. It doesn't float, but I have a leash attached to it that slips over the cleat. It has occasionally popped off if I don't get the suction cups on correctly.

If I end up buying this RZ2 I'm looking at, I'll be shooting you a message :-)
