Dang, that sucks so bad. I’ve chased these gremlins in mine, on a couple of different occasions, and I’ve had them disappear without being positive what fixed them, and I still wonder constantly if they’re going come back at some point. I feel your pain, for sure.

I did have some issues with mine shutting off, once in a gnarly storm, right after I did my fuel pump. The way the new pump was clocked, the pump wires were stretched tight after install, I lengthened the wires after that trip, and never had the issue again, but I still don’t know if the wires were the issue.

I’d really like to know what’s going on with your boat. I’d probably put a pressure gauge on there, just for my peace of mind, first. I’ve always wondered what my pressures were when having these issues. You changed the pressure sending unit, correct? None of that would explain it dying, but potentially for the codes.

it has been happening less, thats for sure. but its definitely not 100% fixed like i was hoping. the only other thing i havent replaced is the pressure regulator.. might that be bad? ill get another one of those too if its another thing to try and replace. can they fail and cause the pump to not pump? because that's what's happening still, ill turn the key and there will be no priming = no start

The regulator is on the pump, correct? Can you buy that on its own, I’ve never checked.

How long are you cranking it, when it doesn’t start? It all sounds like it could be pressure issues. I’d probably put a gauge on it to check it off, see if it’s bleeding down when sitting. If it isn’t holding pressure, that pressure is fluctuating a bunch, or if it’s always consistent, at least you know that much, and what to chase. If the pressure is all good, maybe an injector or spark issue? I’m going to install a permanent gauge on mine, so I can always check that, before knowing what to look at next. I also had coil packs fail on mine, but they never caused an issue, I was just getting codes for misfires, changed factory out with MSDs, and they’ve been good since. Probably just jinxed myself!!
