24 RZX Engine Choice

I am getting pretty serious about buying a 24rzx. I will be using the boat at about 2,000 feet elevation. I will be doing a little bit of everything (surf, wake board, ski) but a lot of cruising the shore with a lot of people. I know these are not speed boats, but I want something that can cruise at a reasonable top end. What engine, transmission and prop combination would you recommend?

What are cruising speeds are you looking for? These boats cruise best in the low 20s or your rpm and fuel burn really starts to jump. Not saying it can’t go faster but it’ll cost you.
Either the 440 or 460 will be fine as they come with the 2:1. Might want to go 460 having a larger crew.
