    White rub rail marks

I have white rub rails on the guides on my lift. They do not scratch the gelcoat of coarse but they leave a white steak on my black hull. Using vinegar get a lot of it off, but some just will not come off. Does anybody know anything that will remove the remaining streaks?

If they are like the lift streaks I get, they seem to be strands of some sort of rubber or vinyl or ???. Mine peel off lengthwise, rather than scrub off.

Acetone on a rag will make it come right off but be mindful so will all your wax. Could also try a magic eraser.
