Ballast Bags/Pumps
Do the ballast pumps have one way check valves? After draining water, can you pour anti-freeze through the drain vents in the side of the boat? Does anyone hook-up a fake lake to the suction side and run the ballast fill pumps?

Fill pumps will automatically drain. Those you don't have to worry about. Its only the empty pumps.

If you can easily get at the drain pumps take the top off and drain any water. Often they will be at the lowest point and sit full of water and because just an aerator style pump its all gravity fed so won't get dry just from running. Some will also pour antifreeze down the drain outlet.
