Has anyone transferred the warranty on a used purchase? If so, how much did the dealer charge for that?

Okay. I was told $2500 for the two, which I found to be a bit exorbitant. Waiting on individual pricing. I also noted that in the Indmar owners manual it says "The remainder of the engine warranty is transferrable to a second or subsequent owner."
Anyone seen an instance of a 3rd owner Indmar transfer?

Indmar warranty does not transfer to the 3rd owner. I believe it depends on the year of the boat. It should tell you the transfer fees in the owners manual. I thought it was $500-$600 for Tige, $500-$600 for Indmar, and then around $500 to the dealer to do the motor inspection that Indmar requires.

You may be better off purchasing a 3rd party/aftermarket warranty rather than manufacturer(s) warranty. Just a thought. Especially if you can get longer coverage than current OEM warranty which I believe ends next year(there was zome years where Z series gor 7 year powertrain warranties as part of promotional boat show sales). I'd be getting all the details on when it would end for Tige and Imdmar before shelling out the $$ and weighing that against the previously mentioned warranty options.Originally posted by okiepilgrim View PostIt's for a 2018 RZ2, so there's not a lot left on the warranty anyway. I have a pretty good relationship with the dealer, but like most things in life, the situation is complicated.
