I need help with my bilge pump. I’ve been getting a lot of water in my bilge. The automatic pump has not been kicking on. When I manually turn on the pump it will very very weakly shoot out maybe a half a cup and stop. So I have pulled out the original Sahara pump and replacing it.
The original pump has three wires. Black, Brown, and brown with white stripe. The new pump has three wires. Black, brown, red.
I hooked up the black to black, brown to brown, brown with white stripe to red.
I can manually turn the pump on and it is working. But the float switch is still not working. What do I need to look for? Will there be a fuse somewhere? Any other things I need to look for so that the float switch works?
