Cove Cover Questions

We were able to see a cove cover on the Germaine Marine 25ZX at last years West Coast Tige Owners Reunion, and liked it so much we recently purchased one for our 23ZX. I probably should have asked this before purchasing, but does anyone have any tips, pros, cons, etc.? Whatever you can provide would be appreciated.

We have one as well for our 25ZX and honestly have only used it once. No major tips it is super easy to put up, slap the 2 poles in, attached to bimini and roll it back and attach it to the poles.

We ordered one for our 21zx also, can you leave it up while surfing? We figured you can’t have too much shade, especially for the kids.

According to the dealer, you cannot surf with it up. We have always enjoyed pulling into a cove and dropping anchor, so adding this seemed like a no-brainer.

D&P do you have the insert with the holes for the back poles on the gunwhale stern of the boat? Didn't know if you'd have them if you ordered the boat without the extended shade.

The cove cover is not speed rated, only for use in the cove.

Our boat was the promo 23ZX in 2020 (in all the videos and advertisements), so we bought it "as is". It didn't have the holes in place, so I paid to have the dealer install the holes and holders, and purchased the cove cover. I also added the chart plotter at the same time. Had it on the 2015 Z3, loved it... had to have it, LOL.

We surf with our cove cover up. At surf speeds of 11 - 12mph I have not see any issue with it.

Booms, do you just connect the surf rope to the ski-pylon when the cove cover is up?

The dealership said we could surf with it up also but I was just checking to see if anyone has actually done it. Thanks

Yes hooking the rope to the ski pylon works. We also attached it to the tower as well. No damage done.

To the top of the tower. We have also used the ski pylon for more seasoned surfers.
