As the proud owner of a 2000 model for the last 8 years, that also came from a Tahoe I/O (great boat too) you will love it. Have never regretted the move. It will take a little getting used to, especially reverse, but nothing you cannot do. Great wakes for boarding and surfing. You can do both with just people for ballast. Ballast just makes it even better. Good lookin boat, looks very well kept.

I wouldn't worry about it. As far as weighting goes, we run 350-400 lbs in each v-drive locker and an integrated bow sac in the bow storage compartments. You'll want to add more weight to the bow...this boat likes 50/50 or even 60-40 weight distribution, front to back. I wouldn't run more than 1400 lbs of ballast.Originally posted by ssuter View PostOk def will keep that in mind. Alot of people were trying to tell me about the spray pockets... any concern?? They were saying it likes to wash out when weighing it... or are they just weighing it wrong?
As far as the wake goes, it'll throw a pretty good wake if you balance it properly. Over the years Tige has improved its hull to the wakes have gotten even bigger, but you'll find the 21v has a very rampy wake that will launch you and make for smooth landings. TAPS is a godsend because it allows you to adjust the wake to the rider/rope length. Just play with it.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."
