RZ2 swim platform

I'd like to do something to the edge of my platform. The riveted black band around it it pitiful. We've only had the boat for one summer and it's not holding up well. The rivets tear out of the fiberglass.

Ditto. I'm looking for a fix to the riveted band. Anybody got any ideas??

PM Ragboy, he will make you a custom aluminum platform. He made one for his 24Ve that looked sweet and added a few extra pounds to his ballast.

Has anybody ever refitted their swim platform permiter edge with stainless or rubrail?

Going to do this as soon as I am home long enough to take on the project. Already have the materials to do it. My friends Malibu is done like that so it matches his rub rail on his boat and it looks good like that.

I don't need a whole need platform, just a fix to the mickey mouse metal band that's cheaply riveted on and already falling off. If I "were" to custom...I'd go for the acrylic one with embedded blue lights. Just looking for good fix to the band.

If you can wait I will let you know in May. I am getting a new 2010 swim deck on my 08 that had voids in the fiberglass. I was told it would fit by the dealer.

Does anyone know what the trick is to remove the platform off the hinges? Does it pull up and out or any certain way?

Tilt the end down toward the ground, then lift up on the transom end. it takes 2 peeps.

I disagree. One really stubborn person works marginally well.

eks - They are giving me a new one at no charge because of a large void in the fiberglass.

I only suffered a minor back strain the first (and only) time I did it by myself.
