Leaving a boat in water tied to the dock bad news. My Uncle's boat sunk because the muskrats chewed the seals around the outboard. Then a guy I work with had his outboard messed up by muskrats chewing wires and hoses on his pontoon boat.

Who would Tige be BSing if its clearly stated that blistering isnt covered?
Its not a manufacturing created defect, so how do you lemon law against the dealer if he was at fault for improper info, or for consumer not reading warranty?

In our case it was our interior and radio on a past model.
All we got from the dealer was a 1000 mile stare.

They will glue the interior fabric and talk it up until the warranty expires.

Even our Sea Doos got new seats when the stock ones went south.

From now on we fight.

If the gel coat is blistering, and it's not covered, it's not covered.
More and more manufacturers are not covering it and hairline cracks aren't covered either.

Lemon Lawing the RV has been a battle, but I'm getting a check for $54.000 and that POS hauled off.
Never met so many crummy people in all my days.

Wife has fallen in love with a new boat at Tige' Watersports in the 909, but the price is just too high, and we don't especially feel welcome there.

So much depends on the dealer. Our radio went out in the first year and our dealer paid Earmark to come to our house and install a new one. That is the kind of service Tige needs to look for in their dealers. Too bad they are not all that way. Seems to me if you want to sell a high dollar luxury item in this economy you would make everyone who steps through the door feel right at home.

Not sure why you would want to keep a tow boat in the water. Water is so hard on the boats, why keep it in there even more. Put it on a lift or a sling....

If you want to keep it in the water then you will need to paint it with anti-fouling paint or sealer. If you use paint you can get it in many colors so you would be able to paint the hull below the waterline with a color that would be close to original color or you may want to change it.

We did this on my dads 1985 SearRay and buffed the rest of the gray hull color and she looked new when done. You will keep the blistering controlled but depending on the paint used and who applies it you may see where the anti fouling paint was applied.

Blistering ??

I must be lucky. I had a 1988 sunbird corsair bowrider that I kept in the water from april til novermber for the 13 years I owned it, dunno about previous owner. NO blistering. I had a 2002 tige 21v that the previous owner and myself left in from april til november. No blistering. Maybe its the lake water here has the right pollutants in it to save the hull . Or does waxing the bottom help?????

I'll bet what is in the water around your boat makes all the diff.
Never thought about it till now... one part of the lake might be better than another. Or what the guy next to washes his boat with or runs out with his sink water.

Steve, welcome to the site. We do understand the boat owner but he is out of the warranty period and kept his boat in the water. I'm sure there is more to it but again, there is a warranty period for a reason.

a lot of these guys have been here a long long time. they have talked this over with others, on other posts. Dead horse.. Years ago it got ugly.. IMO, we do support each other.

Obama got elected to the presidency of the USA simply because a group of people with something in common with him rallied behind him in support. They had little understanding o what they were really supporting For us to grab our pitchforks and torches and storm the Tige castle in support of this would gain nothing, the King would just raise our taxes and stop alms for the poor.

IMO, his anger should be directed at the selling dealer for the mis info, and not Tige.

dihutchins unfortunately came into the tigeowners forum and with both barrels blazing and instead of asking for advice wanted to get info on how to sue Tige which to TigeOwners is not the right approach to take. To make matters worse he did not research what cause fiberglass to blister.

I know from personal experience that this is a place to look for advice, help, leave feedback etc. A new member with 20 something posts should of looked for advice re: blistering vs jumping at a lawsuit threat.

The members will give out advice and help to any TigeOwner who takes a reasonable tact in presenting their concerns.

Work with them and they will help anyway they can.

I say oboma is not telling us any lies or misleading us at all. He is doing and saying it from his heart. He is what he is and he is clear as a bell. Can’t say "he told us a big fat lie". And I say we should defend the constitution. What say you?

As a law student, I can tell you that Obama doesn't have much respect for the Constitution after how he shamelessly blasted the Supreme Court right to their face in front of a national audience at the State of the Union this past January just because the greatest legal minds in the land disagree with him. It showed an absolute lack of class and put his arrogance on exhibit for the whole world to see. Keep drinking that Kool-aid, man.
