Reunion @ Norris Lake, TN – July 23-25, 2010

Just where I'm staying, not boating. I'll be up there with you homies. I like the part of the lake past Union County dock, as long as you can navigate through the haloof garbage around it. Guapo and I will be running the gauntlet by Shanghai on the way there. IMO, that is always the worst water on the lake.

I've never made it past Sequoyah. I'll need to branch out a bit and explore the lake prior to the reunion.

Exploring all of the different creeks of the lake is epecially fun. If you go way up some of the larger creeks to where it starts to get narrow, it doesn't get any better for surfing or footing. Absolute glass.

That's what I've found going back to Twin Cover where we are. It's much narrower than the other parts of the lake, but it keeps the chop down. It doesn't get crowded and I can surf all day. I'm looking forward to seeing other parts of the lake. I'm looking forward to the reunion.

Registration
We are trying to get an approximate head count on the number of people attending and the best way to contact people. We are also working on getting some gear/goodies/schwag as giveaways from some sponsors. If you plan on attending, please click here and complete the brief Registration Form.

T-Shirts?
Who is interested in T-Shirts? I have no details at this point (cost, sample design, etc.). However, I am willing to put together a design and get some made if we get enough interest. The tentative design will be obviously be Tigé-centric logos/boats on the front with "2010 Norris Lake Tigé Reunion" on the front and names/logos of sponsors on the back of the shirts. Pricing will obviously depend on quality of shirts, sizes, quantity, etc. So, let me know interest level and preferences.

Agenda for Saturday
We are starting to work on tentative agenda. The plans are to keep it informal to allow people to work into their schedule whatever they want. For Saturday, we are trying to get a riding demo (rider TBD but definitely won't be me! ) earlier in the day and plan a dinner in the evening.

No the dates didn't change. I must have been wrestling with Jim Beam when I created the form and was looking at June instead of July.

Just registered. Our traditional (3 family vacation) weekly rental ends Sat morning to head back to Dayton. We will plan to attend on Thurs 22nd and Friday 23rd some time. Are there any particular time of day or evening to stop by? We will just keep an eye out for any Tige boat on the water.

Let me warn you about Mr. ChpThril. Last year, he somehow ended taking all the women out on my boat and leaving me with the kids swimming in the cove. I'm not sure how it went down, but I think I even gave him gas money too!



Seriously, we hope Mr. & Mrs. ChpThril can make it again. My wife had a blast learning to wakesurf last year and our family is looking forward to the event this year.

Nick - The only agenda that we are working on is for Saturday. So, there is nothing in particular planned for the days prior.

We'll be in touch before then. We'll make sure you have our contact info (if you don't already). I see your registration info. We can give you a call or send you a text message on your cell phone when we get there. As you may be aware, cell phones generally do not work once you are out on the lake. So, we'll probably try to get in touch Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

Our place is not far from where you are staying. So, it should be quick and easy for us to meet up.
