RZ2 VS. VE22 09 OR 2010 MODEL

Everyone I need some advise.. currently have a 21v limited and going to get a new boat this summer. on the water we like to ski, surf, wakeskate and wakeboard(the least). which boat would give me similar performance.

I'm going to test drive a 2009 22ft ski centurion this week and know that the same as a tige but want to do it.

What model , we have noticed on most that we have driven a drone from the floor which is the engine generated through the deck, and also most have listed to the right while underway.

Don't know if this helps any, but I went out on any 21-22 foot boat I could before purchasing ours last summer....sorry but no Tige. I was in a Centurion Avalanche twice and they kept playing with weight trying to get both sides of the wake alike. My understanding is that in '09 they changed from LH to RH rotation and that may have been some of the problem. FYI - the boat I was in they were wakeboarding, not surfing. Get out there and test as many as you can....

Most Centurions are weight sensitive as far as the wake goes but can be fine tuned very easily. The Avalanche is top notch as far as the surf wake is concerned.
My Avy does not have a "drone" or vibration nor does it list to the right while underway.
I have not heard anyone on CenturionCrew mention either of these things with their older or newer boats.

thanks for the feedback and it is a 2009 22ft ava fully loaded with the right surf. trying to test drive this weekend and then test drive the rz2 or ve22 the following weekend.

I will see if it has any vibration etc... I love my tige and love the new tige but wanted more information from owners about the wake difference be the rz and ve.

i'm open to change and just looking for the best all around boat.

The dealership I work for sells Tige and Malibu. I prefer Tiges. With your multisport use I think the Tige is your best bet. I would always test drive as many brands as you can, crazy not to. We service every brand, I am in and out of these boats everyday, had them all out on the water. I could never recommend a Centurion to anyone. I am not bashing them but the ones I have worked on sk cent,T5 and Avy just were not near as nice as the other brands I work on.

I don't believe that you would notice a big difference in the wake between a RZ2 and 22Vé if weighted the same. Besides the pickle-fork bow of the RZ, the hull is same from what I understand.

Pretty much. The only difference I have heard is that heavily weighted for wakeboarding, the pickle does have some negative effect on the wake as compared to the Ve. But we're talking like 3K lbs. And for surfing, the Tige will produce an equally clean wake on both sides, some even say the goofy is a tad better.

It sure sounds like you are bashing Centurion to me.
I would by another Centurion in a heartbeat and I used to own an 06 22V.

You will see a slight difference between the RZ's wake and the Ve's wake IMO. Not but but suttle differences.

The RZ's hull is more of a rocker shape then the Ve's hull is. So, the RZ2 and the 22Ve is not the same hull exactly. This is what I heard from Tige.

thanks everyone for the info so far. I've been waiting 3 years to get a new boat so just trying to find something that is multisport (to a point)and has a great ride, quiet no rattles etc... and looks really cool on the water.

Nobody was trying to bash anybodys boat , sorry if it came across that way .
We do the warranty work on the centurions in our area and have found them to be more difficult to repair or service as compared to the tiges.
Also when I refer to a drone, the deck is elevated aprox. 10inches off of the stringers and allows the engine sounds to transmit through the hull.
As for the list the bulk of our complaints comes from the owners, asking if we can get there boat to stop pulling or leaning to the right, the boat is a continueous v hull and requires some weight shifting to get the wake clean.
None of these problems are major , I was just pointing out what I have seen to be different.

If you like your centurion thats great thats what counts.A friend/customer has an 05 Avy. I have spent plenty of time working/driving/boarding/surfing on it. I really dont care for it at all. I will take my 03 22V any day over his 05 Avy. I am not bashing them I just dont care for them @ all. Tige,Malibu,CC,Supra and MC all better choices IMPO. Thas why I recommend to drive them all and find the one that fits "you".the one you like the best I just happen to like Centurion the least thats all. Sorry to txtige for gettin of track with this thread. I hope your search for a boat turns out good for you. make sure to post a pic of what you end up with....... even if it is a centurion .

I am a dealer for both and think they are both very well built. It is a Ford/Chevy thing,just demo every aspect of how you will use the boat,including but not limited to loading them up with chica's.
