That is what I did to mine, but I have an old boat so I could take the whole seat off and flip it over to spray. It is better, but it is still frickin hot in Vegas so the ice still winds up melting. I do still have ice left at the end of the day now though.Originally posted by dogbert View PostMy cooler on my old boat is awesome...keeps stuff cold for days...even ice.
Seriously, you might be able to get in there and add some spray insulation or that expanding foam they use in houses.Honey I'm home!

Was thinking about that at one time but a normal ice chest is far better than that built in ice chest will every be.Originally posted by dogbert View PostMy cooler on my old boat is awesome...keeps stuff cold for days...even ice.

I have always wondered why Tige builds an ice chest into a boat without insulating it.
On the 24Ve, there was no insulation on the back center activity center where they claim there is an ice chest there also. But, I am thinking about cutting it out and expanding my storage capabilities

I really dislike the starboard side built in cooler. As discussed above, there is no insulation. And it is so small as to be near worthless even if you did want to use it. My drain hose is misrouted and short as well. I use it to store ropes etc.
I love the Tige soft side cooler tucked up under the bow cushion--no asking people to move to get a beer.
If anyone tries that spray in foam, be careful to not get too much. The stuff expands so much it could crack the plastic.
I should cut the darn thing out but I cannot bring myself to "violate" the newness of the boat (other than ripping a board rack of by accident of course XD ).

I'm thinking I like the looks of the bigazz one Timmy and dogbert have. May have to get that one and relegate the boat cooler to just another storage space.

At least it's above the water line of the lake. I know it's difficult to cut below the water line but come on!!!! It's the water from the ice that was in the ice chest. Not the lake water
j/k hahaha

The soft sided one that I have is gray and has a Tige logo on it - it came with the boat, it is NOT the one on the Tige site.
here's a discussion on it: http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...ght=cooler+bag

Geez, I tried to explain this whole thing to the Mrs. last night, and she is refusing to accept the idea of using a separate cooler. Her reasoning is that it will "take up floor space and get in the way." So, I guess I'll just have to keep using the built-in and maybe try to re-route the drain line. Oh well, it works well enough that drinks are still cool at the end of the day, just not always ice cold.
Some things are just not worth the fight.

When taking delivery of the boat, I asked State-a-Mind to order me one. Instead, Andrew walks in the back and brings out an extra one and gave it to me. Thanks Andrew!Originally posted by ajholt7 View PostWhere did you get the tige soft cooler?
I strongly recommend them. It is HUGE and fits perfectly up under the bow cushion. I will click a pic of it in place this weekend -- I am sure dingleberry's wife can be convinced of its floor space economy
