Moomba flow type design- Who's with me!

Who wants to make me a moomba flow? Somebody on here has to be an engineer and access to a cnc mill. I will pay the cost to design and make one! I like how simple it is and how it drops further and further down, which will help it effect the wave when listed. I want to have both a sacked out boat and a option for a different type wave. I truly think this is the best design and super super simple.

I like it too. I'd be interested in purchasing... I wonder if it could be purchased from a Moomba dealer?

They are selling them at active wake... for $1200.

It does look like simple set up. It would increase your drag and drop your fuel economy. Probably pretty easy to make it's just a couple of plates. Only hard part would be increasing the strength of the hull to mount it. I would mount something similar to the side of the hull allowing you to extend the running surface of the hull on the non surf side and not adding any drag.

Already contacted them. Their transom is goofy with a large step pretty low, so theirs wouldn't work. No need to reinforce. Transoms are super thick and strong. Each plates is held in by 6 stainless lag screws. You could use brass lags as a sheer design in case it hit something. Here is their transom shape.

I can help with the design and CAD portion of it but no access to CNC or know the programming required.

Wow that is a big step in the shape. Yeah just have to find someone local with the tooling and skills to fab it up in aluminum.

I would be afraid to use lag screws though. I would thru bolt it with a plate behind it to help spread out the force created by the drag. Just my 2cents.

I would rather have the lag bolts shear off then rip the transom off. I will most likely use brass lags as a sheer point. Let's design it up. Yeah I was thinking I could buy it and rebuild it with no step. But it's too long for my boat. Needs to probably be 6.5" width max for my boat.

Same basic concept as the Malibu surfgate or Nautique NSS. Induce drag on one side of the boat, resulting in an asymmetrical wake or "delayed convergence" (a.k.a. wakesurf wake).

One big difference is that surfgate and NSS can be adjusted and switch sides while underway, while the Moomba flow system is completely manual and you have to stop the boat to adjust or switch sides.
