Looking for ideas to cover the two bolts that hold the rear seat down (one per side). Just installed custom sacs and I'm concerned about long-term wear on the sacs. These bolts are too big for the wing nut cover used for the screws. I'm currently utilizing the massive electrical tape wad method.

I glued PVC caps over the underside of the holes so that the bolts could project down without contacting the sacs. 3M adhesive, used for thruhulls and other fittings, does the trick nicely (silicone would probably also work). Before installing, I drilled several holes in the top of the caps so water could drain out rather than sit in the caps and get nasty.Originally posted by brett22i View PostMake a trip to you local plumbing department. PVC end caps and some sort of adhesive that can be removed to access the nut in the future. I would think silcone would work.
