I had a dream the other night that I haphazardly put everything together just for a test run and when I turned around, the stern was all the way under water.

I had one last night night where I finished everything before I put it on the water and when I hit the switch, it filled super fast and shot water out the vent like a firehose. Much better dream.

The worst thing that has happened to me was that I needed to replace a breaker.

Before I ran my drain and vent lines to the opposite side of the boat I used to put rubber corks in the thru-hulls to keep the sacks from emptying. The driver forgot to switch off the fill pump and the fitting in the fill line snapped off the bag and kept filling the bilge with water. Luckily I noticed the bilge thru-hull was pushing out water.

I will be doing my install shortly. One of the first things I plan to do with mine it hook it up to a fak-a-lake. No different than I do with the boat before I head to the lake for the first time each year. That should be able to tell me if there are any obvious things right off the bat.

I am working with Mike to get the parts. But I think I am just going to put pumps in the for the rear for now, but have it planned for doing the front. I am going to use Rule 405fc pumps each with it's own thru hull. If I end up doing the front and there is a better pump then I will switch the new pump for the main side that we use for surfing. Planning to vent and drain to the opposite side. Still trying to decide whether to run them in the back or the front of the lockers. I wondered if it would look goofy if the vent / drain was not by the bilge hole.

I will start a thread when I have the stuff and start the install.

I had the same dream. Not only the ballast work but a Flush kit, a strainer, and underwater lights are all possible "tests for the bilge pump". I think I'm just asking for it.

I plan on just dunking the rear end and testing everything at the ramp while still on the trailer.
