Ordered the 2" thru hull today. Why do you think it will be overkill. I was worried that I would not be able to get enough water to the pumps. I can always sell it. Got for 40.00 on ebay though. Did not think that was a bad price.Originally posted by Timmy! View PostDid you already order the 2" thru hull and ball valve? If not, I think you are going way overkill for your system and can save some money by scaling that down to 1 1/4" or 1".

These guys claim that a 1 1/4 will support 5 Tsunami 1200's:

I dont know about 5, I have no issues using 1-1/4" to feed 3, but the hard part is fitting the 1-1/8" threaded inlet of the T1200 pump to a 1-1/4" PVC manifold.Originally posted by Timmy! View PostThese guys claim that a 1 1/4 will support 5 Tsunami 1200's:

I guess I will use the idea I saw online the other day. I will use a bushing to take the 2" pipe to 1" pipe. 1" pipe will fit very snug in 1 1/4" hose and so will the 1 1/8" fitting on the Tsunami pump. This looked like it would work pretty good and they guy said he did not have any problems. Save money on those exspenive fittings.

In the first pic (the colored one) your c/v's need to be in the vent line between the "T" and the sac, not on the drain line. They need to be oriented so it allows air/water to purge out of the sac when filling, then close when the drain flow is applied from the other direction.Originally posted by bamaboy2006 View PostOk. Well here are the pictures of the setup. Thanks. If I go with the 2nd option will I still need check valves?Originally posted by chpthril View PostIn the first pic (the colored one) your c/v's need to be in the vent line between the "T" and the sac, not on the drain line.
