Ballast Pump wiring to existing ballast switch

I have a couple questions, I have 08 Rz2 with factory ballast using the aerator type pumps.
    Two pump per bag/tank -fill/empty.
I do understand that currently there are two sets of wires going to this one switch to get current set up working with two pumps.
One of the pumps going bad, decided to upgrade to a reversible pump.
First can the current switch be be used? Tried looking online, can't seem to find that switch.
I have tried to wire right off the switch just to make sure it would work, I can't seem to get it to kick the pump on.
The terminal has power, when in the fill position.
I'm wondering if that switch won't work with this pump?

Any help pointing me into the right direction would be great!

    Thanks
    Sam

    I found the switch it's a carling V6D1-says it's a Single pole double throw.
On post I found online they mentioned the switch should be DPDT, want to check if anyone would know if you can make this switch work.

    Should I run new wiring?
    Thanks

I would look at the difference s in how the reversible pumps are wired compared to aerator style pumps. I would try to get in touch with michael simms with mikesliquid audio
