07 RZ2 - Fill hoses on when pumps are not??

Out for the lake test this past weekend. Bags were not hooked up, pumps were not switched on or running but the fill hoses were pumping water into the bilge. Not a full flow almost like the pump was stuck open or something.

    Anyone with similar experience??

An 07 would not have soft ballast bags in the rear lockers, so it sounds like your 07 has some aftermarket ballast. Might be a scoop on the intake, forcing water into the system. Could be that the hose was just laying flat on the locker floor.

Makes sense - aftermarket and the hoses were on the floor. If I hooked up the fill hoses to the bags wouldn't they till be on the floor, and the bags still fill?

Being aftermarket, there are a few ways the system could be designed, laid out and configured, so its hard to say where your hoses should be connected and how they are routed.

            Ok, a little more info.

If the boat is using aerator live well pumps, the hose should run up out of the bilge, to the underside of the deck, then back down to the top of sac. This would prevent passive filling, unless the pump(s) is force fed by a scoop.

If the system has an impeller pump, the hose would connect to a bottom/end port. However, the impeller pump should not passively pass water. Unless again, there is a scoop thats forcing water in.
