Sorry to hear about your loss It sounds like he was an excellent driver but something unexpected happened and turned into a tragedy. My thoughts are with you and his family and hope that everyone is doing as good as they possibly could in this situation.

Tanner, pm me a link to the Vette forum threads and I will help police as well (I've been a member since 2000 over there and know all of the moderators).

sorry to hear that Tanner, my father in law has a similar story that happened in the back roads of CT, that's very unfortunate.

He hadn't bought the blower yet. What I don't understand is even though Kev. had moved to Lawton b/c Walgreen's had given him his own store there (they were both Walgreen's managers) he still knew that road had recently became washboarded b4 the stop sign. Kev. was a very experienced track and street race driver, so he should have known better. Whats even more depressing was that he brought the vette down while visiting on his days off. He had bought an explorer to drive as a daily driver and for trips. So it might not have even happened had he chosen to bring the other car that night.

    Thanks for the offer Dom.

ok, I thought those were my rims

Sorry to hear that went wrong, I wish I could use that blower... I'm thinking about modding mine for the track, when I get out of Cali.

It was a highly modded C6. We had put Z06 wheels on it. New heads, cam, tuned etc. Blower was in the coming future.

Just curious, but what type of vette was it Tanner? I can't even tell it's so demolished.

Is it a C6Z like mine?

Thanks man, and U need anything call or email me!

Thanks guys. At least the boys had one hell of a last ride it seems. I know they had grins from ear to ear up until the last seconds. Just hope other people think a bit.

Dom if your on any of the Vette forums please ask them to show some tact. I caught a few posts on a few of them that were uncalled for about this.

I know our fun runs down the empty streets against each other will be kept to the track now. As soon as we finish my buddies 900hp lightening, that Eric had been helping us with, we're moving on to 1964 mustang that we were helping Eric restore. We're gonna finish it like he wanted, as we knew his plans... he had bought it while in HS.

Really sad deal, but you live by the sword you die by the sword.... and luckily no innocent bystanders were taken along.

    Slow it down guys!

Seeing the type of personality that tow boats will attract, I figured I should make the obligatory post begging all you guys to slow it down.

Thurs. night I lost two buddies (brothers) who were on their way back from renting a movie and according to txt messages in my phone on their way to my house to come wake me up! Their mom has now lost both her sons, and one of the boys has left his new wife and kid b/c of our need to thrill seek at high speeds. The boys were traveling in my Buddy Kev's Vette at at over 140 down back roads. Secluded enough that they weren't found for over 8 hours. Same road we've ran up and down at extremely high rates of speed before w/o thought of the consequences.

The vette left a half mile debris circle and the car was crunched into a ball. I would post the news story to show you how bad it was, but I'm pretty upset with the local media. They have chosen to show a few pictures, rather intentionally or unintentionally, that show a part of whats left of my buddies body inside the wreckage. Although it takes a keen eye to catch it, it's not right. The 30 year veteran police officer on the scene said that they have never seen a wreck that bad.

Seeing as we almost lost a member here due to a vehicle accident, I figured I'd make a plea for everyone to pay just a bit more attn. while driving and be a bit more cautious.
Working...
