Hey robert My snapon guy says the same thing. I own both boxes but I can tell you my matco is stronger. Mine is about 7 years old er so. I would never dare jump in my snapon draws but my matco I do it all the time cause I cant believe how strong it is! I wish snapon would increase the rigidness of the draws n such. I dont care how much weight the top can hold Im not planning on parking a dumptruck on my box not what its intended for!

And being a fabricator I can tell you welds dont mean much depending how the metal is bent and fitted. Too many welds can actually weaken the structure.

I push my toolbox around full of tools and the drawers open and close like they should. I love mine too...

    Came from Fastenal - I guess it's a waterloo...

What do you base your statement on.I think you have been brainwashed by a slick salesman.reminds me of the MATCO man in my area telling customers even though the Snap-On cordless impact turned the MATCO BACKWARDS.The MATCO WAS STILL MORE POWERFUL.IT flat out lost any way you look at it.But because the MATCO MAN said so his was more powerful it was the true victor.Don't worry Wickedcummins you've just been victimized by.If you care to seek professional help.It can be treated sucessfully and you will be able to see and think clearly again. We put a 26000lb dump truck on our boxes. They have over 150 more welds in our boxes. We have corner gussets and z stiffners all of which we patented.Have you seen the tool box comparison video in which Snap-On tests MAC,MATCO,CRAFTSMAN AND CORNWELL all on the same tests and Snap-On comes out on top in every catagory.Did you know Matco sold their tool manufacturing facilities to COOPER TOOLS and nothing is made in the USA any more.Look on the back of your tool box and it will say so.Depending on how old it is it either says MADE IN THE USA with global parts or ASSEMBLED IN THE USA with global parts. Our master and epic series are all made and assembled in algona IOWA right here in the good old usa.I suspect someone is trying to stir the pot,but i have concrete solid facts to prove my above statements.
