Where in Austin do you go. I work there quite a bit. If I could I would get my wife to move there and by a house on Lake Travis with slips for the boat and skies. We could sell all our rental properties and our home and probably buy a nice house there.

lake travis is nice but it gets choppy and you have to worry about huge boats speeding around all drunken. i personally would buy a house on one of these places. the pedernales(the perd) river is awesome, it's north of lake travis and is one of the main if not the main feeder to it. it is beautiful but the water level drops dramatically in dry times here. the lake my parents live nearby is north of austin, lake georgetown, awesome place! great lake for riding but currently the water level is so low that you can't use the docks on its way up though. georgetown is a rural town thats just been blowing up lately. apx 15-20 min. drive to austin or less. however, you can only live close to the lake, not on it in georgetown. the grandaddy of all wakeboard lakes here though is by far lake austin(my top pick for a new lake home). it literally goes from the dam at lake travis into downtown austin. miles of butter. stays at a constant 67 or so degrees all year round because travis dumps into it to keep it constant level. it is actually #2 best wakeboard river in america according to this month's issue (vol. 15 issue 3) of wakeboarding magazine. the 1st place went to the delta in cali of course. then a hop skip away is Texas Ski Ranch that cable complex. 45 min. south of austin. they are hosting the byerly toe jam this year supposedly. which is huge for them. we also have some great people here and the town is really great about wakeboarding and watersports of all kinds. in april under360 wake club is hosting another rail jam in downtown austin. its pretty amazing. check us out. the fam. would love this place.

Not the first run of the year but the first time I did not have to wear a bulky dry suit. It felt great wearing just a heater top. Water was 64 degrees and air was 80 degrees with 0mph winds and not a single boat in site for 3 hours.

We just went out this last weekend and summerized his boat and interduced it to the WARM water in CA. It was nice water 63 degrees.

WARM!!! That is colder than it ever got here! We are up to 70 and ready for the big warm up. My wife doesn't go in until it is 75 and that is with a full length wetsuit and a long sleeve neoprene top. Oh well, we are ready for it regardless.

You guys crack me up. I never winterized my boat. DOMSZ and I went out on Thanksgiving day, and New Years Day. We just went out this last weekend and summerized his boat and interduced it to the WARM water in CA. It was nice water 63 degrees. So if you want to ski or board not come out to CA. Just bring the board you like to use. I would guess by the end of this week with the warm weather we are getting it will be closer to 70.

Seems like I'm always short on koozies, even though I buy them all the time because my friends not only drink all my beer, but then they take the koozies with them...you're not one of those guys are you?

No, I'm the guy who goes to trade shows and gets 10 of the free ones from each table! Who cares if they say (Insert strange company of your choice).

And No one drinks all my beer....no one who has lived to tell about it at least

I am still waiting for all the ice to melt. I am going down again this week to check the harbor. Tequilasun, all you need is a hot speedo to keep you warm I am going to pull the trigger on a dry suit this year.

You have been in my closet...hot speedos are all I wear.

But when I wear them they are called Hot Grande Speedos.

I have military drill next weekend but after that I think I'm going to go out on a shakedown run to make sure everything is up to speed before taking the family out. I am definately ready to get back in the water.

Cmon Tequila, we have been riding since Feb 22nd!

Our boat is in Dry stack until the 15th, so we can't really ride before that.

But I'm not sure I would want to! I am a total cold water wuss. Maybe if I make the leap to purchasing a dry suit I could ride earlier.

I here ya brotha. All my stuff is in the basement because the boat has been at the Dealer for a while getting some warrenty work done. Should be done soon. We have not been out since Jan 1st and are sssoooo ready to get back out.

Water temp is mid 50's
Air temp will be 76 tomarrow.
