That board will cruise ok, but then it is so slow, you can't do much with it, imo.
Beyond that I know very little. I'm learning mostly from Ragboy's site. I have to make spots to mount the boards this winter.
Regarding lake depth. I really don't know of other deeper lakes around. Everything up near Brooksville dried up in the past decade.

Yes, like my 24Ve it takes more weight. Try ONLY putting weight in the surf corner on the RZ4, and none up front, see how that works for you. The RZ2 NEEDS weight up front, we didn't need it on the 24Ve. But the RZ2 also has much more PUSH with the wave. It is so much harder to fall out of the RZ2 wave, compared to the 24Ve. We are planning to get the Ve out soon, and try to get the extra push, like we do on the RZ2, but we are guessing its going to take a lot of weight. It will be a fun experiment.
My guess, is that the RZ4/24Ve is probably capable of making a bigger, and as good of (push and all) wake as the RZ2, but its going to take more weight, than most people would be comfortable with, and that is what makes the 22 foot boats very desirable. I will have more to say on that after our Ve experiment.
That said, the 24 (ve/rz4) is still a great wake. I am guessing you will need 1700lbs or so in the surf corner (water and people) to get the rub rail down on the RZ4, and no weight up front.
Everyone's excited. Thank you for the tips.

I'll do some math later this week and tell you exactly what our sak weight/distribution is and take it from there. Thanks you so much! Oh! T-shirts for the Kid's would be a nice gift, how much are they?

Any of you guys boat in FL? That is standard water color for lakes. Spring fed rivers are more clear but they brown up the farther downstream you get from the spring. I know it looks ugly but its a small price to pay for year round riding. Before I lived in TX I lived in Orlando. It was great, I miss FL.Last edited by Ewok; 09-27-2010, 11:27 AM.

Post vids or pics of your kids surfing here:

If they are under 16, I will send a free shirt.

Cypress marshes lend to the black color with the tannin from the trees. This does not necessarily mean the water is dirty or polluted. The pictures are from Lake Tarpon, Florida. This is actually a very clean lake.

Its funny, it doesn't look like most brown water I have seen, it actually looks like root beer or something. But hey, if you can surf on it...
