    Impeller Group Buys

Guys, are you interested in a group buy for impellers. I can get one going for Mercury engines, MP engines, and PCM. I asked permission from Matt G on this and he has given his go ahead. If so speak up and let me know how many you want. I will work on the pricing for you and post it after I get a final count.

What impellers are you talking about? Standard replacements or the super fancy self-lubed jobs? What year and style ranges?

How about those stainless steel one's so I don't have to replace every year? Or is that even an option? Sorry, had to ask.

                I'm down for one. 350 Mag w/ 315hp in a 2002 20V

If you can do the self lubing ones I'll go with that, otherwise a regular one is fine.

Put me in for one as I learned long ago to do it as regular maintenance. Like changing the oil. 350 mag MPI 315 HP. Would like to try the globe if possible. It will be interesting to see what kind of break we will get on the price.

My boat only has 20 hours on it.

How often do we need to change the impeller?

You should change it yearly. However, I didn't do mine last year and made it two years on one impeller. I am not planning on taking that chance this year nor any other year again.

Thanks da.bell. Should I buy one and leave it on the boat?

How hard is it to change if I am a Powell and the impeller goes out?

I changed mine this fall. The impeller in it was the original one that came in the boat in 2002. Proof you don't HAVE to change them every year...just depends if you like to gamble, or row your boat for that matter.
