2012 RZ2 speedometer issue

My speedometer quit working. I'm not super mechanical, but my understanding is that it can be replaced from inside the boat (don't have to pull it out of the water?).

Is this true? is it fairly easy? Where is it located? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

In mine, there are 2 paddle wheels that feed the guages/speed control. Both are paddlewheels. One is located by the rudder and accessible from above, the other is on the back of the boat. A lot of the time, the wheel has broken off and can be replaced cheaply. I would look for that first. I'll post images of mine and the kit that I used to replace mine but your location may differ.

Appreciate the info and pics…saw an older post on here that mentioned being able to replace it with the boat still in the water….this looks like I’d need to pull it?
