Works perfect. Does have a cracked weld on one of the cup rings. I will weld it up before it ships. This cracked weld in no way affects its performance and really is a non issue, but I'll fix it anyways. This one does not float. It has the lanyard to attach it to a fender or life jacket. Only ever came off my boat one time, the very first time we tried to use it. We had it mounted to a more curved section of our hull and it didn't stick. Also had it tied up to the boat, which is what caused the ring to break free from the main section when the rope pulled tight. We adjusted the position and it worked great after that. Ran it all last season with the broken weld.
