Too early to tell for us.Our dog Tini doesn't shed much and she prefers to lay on a towel. We haven't noticed much hair even with the carpet. I can say it's much cooler,it was 101 to 102 all week of the fourth and our feet didn't get hot at all.We do have the extended Bimini though. When you get in the boat all wet the water drips on the mat passes through the mat and all is dry in a hour or less.I will report back if we find any hair!LOL

    Very tempting. A few questions:

    1) What is involved in removing carpet snaps? I have that snap-in section in the bow. I presume they need to be drilled out - anyone done that?

    2) How about installing a formal floor drain? If water passes through the Poseidon flooring, it's going to accumulate toward the rear of the passenger compartment. I've always thought it strange that inboards don't have floor drains and simply expect water to seep through floor seams and under seats. Why not manage it properly?

    3) What is involved in removing the adhesive-backed carpet if you don't have snap-in? All but my bow is glued down.

    Thanks!

Any thoughts on how it would work on the swim platform? I am reluctant to do Seadeck.

My carpet all snapped in. I just unscrewed the snaps from the floor. As far as draining my floor over the gas tank has seam it will drain through into to bilge area.As far as the glued in carpet i would imagine some sort of adhesive remover would work.

I don't think it would work for a swim deck.

I am interested, has anybody checked into a possible group buy? Seems like a few here might jump in.

Wow! I expected them to be riveted in. Didn't know they thread.

True, but I was thinking the boat is often a little bow-high which means the water will accumulate toward the rear of the passenger floor.

So any ideas on WABoating's question about removing the glued down part of the carpet?

Interested to hear how to remove the glued carpet.
