    Fat Sac questions

Ok I am planning on upgrading and adding more ballast. Planning on ordering 2 Pro x series jumbo V-drive surf sacs. I currently have some older sacs that use the blue water bed attachment. basically goes from the hose to the barbed head which threads to the blue bed attachment that threads directly to the sac.

I am really unclear on what else I need to order to make these sacs work. I have pumps and line, I just dont know what I need attachment wise. They arent very descriptive on the site.

I would like to keep using the waterbed attachments so I have to change as little as possible in the boat.

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do. Are you wanting to swap out the old sacs for the new sacs and the old sacs are plumbed in and you want to hook the old hose ends to the new sacs? Sorry for the run on sentance. Can you post some pics and illistrate?

Ok. Your new sac will not come with any type of fitting that will mate with what you have on the ends of your current plumbing, unless it is 3/4" MST (male straight threads), so you will be buying parts anyway, more then likely. I would just go ahead and upgrade to the Flow-Rite quick-conns. The male sac-valve threaded part will screw right into the sac and the female x hose-barb will clamp right into the current hose. They come in 3/4" and 1" and either straight or a 90 elbow. Even cheaper, you can get a sac valve thread x hose-barb in either 3/4" and 1".

    Ok, on this site http://www.onlyinboards.com/Ski-boat...fat-sacks.html

would it be the W736 and the W742 ?

Do I need 2 of the same ones, or one of each? On wakeworld duffy told me to order one of each.

Assuming you have 3/4" hose, the W736 is the part that threads into the Fly High sac, and you will need one for every hose/port you intend to use. The W742 and W740 are the mates to the W736. One is straight and one is an elbow. You will need a quantity of those that will be the same quantity as the W736's. Whether you need straight or elbow will depend on how you system is configured and how the hoses are routed. Retail is about $12 for a "set".

ok, thanks. that makes much more sense.
So here is what I plan to do, correct me if this will not work. I am going to order the 2 sacks, 4 - W736, 4 - W740

So I will have a straight and an elbow on each of the 4 drain/fill holes.

The W740 is the straight quick connect, the W742 is the elbow quick connect and the W736 threads into the sac.

Whether you want elbows or straight, you need 4 W736 and then 4 of either W742 or W740 or a mix of both W740 and W742.

That's cool, I would have only been a few bucks cheaper anyway.
