Its just because I am posting, before youtube has finished processing. You may also notice, that they will be very poor quality at first, then they will be in pristine HD a few minutes after that.
I did a lot of R & D last year, on the most efficient and cost effective ways to capture video, and go right to web and youtube. Now that youtube allows HD, I no longer need vimeo or any other service. Make sure you check back and watch in HD, and then try clicking full screen. You will know its in HD when you start the video, and the text is CRISP and clear.

Was that an Epic wake? It looked horrible. Big, but awful shape.

First, if it wasn't for EPIC, the contest prob wouldn't have happened, so I want to throw a thanks out there. It was steep, short, and it was a bit tall, but the lip was halfway down the wake. I don't know if it could be much better with experimentation or not.

I have to gloat a bit. RJ got second place in Men's Open after James Walker. He beat Alec Wood for 3rd place. Alec is 17, and a very good surfer. I will throw up some cool pics later.

Was that two different days? Seems like the second half of the video, the engine was rev'ing a faster RPM and probably was going faster. :02:

no, they go one direction, then turn around and do other. Sometimes it seems that way, cuz light is coming from other direction, so each run can look totally different, this was in the morning. Also going in other direction can change ambient noise, so make engine sound louder. I know they were using set speed, so other than that, I have no explanation.

He did a great job. Got that 360 at the end and he know it. Congrats!!!! :bo: :bo:

360 was tough on that wake, steep, and pocket is VERY small. But we went out on Saturday moring and practiced just 3s for about 90 mins. He wasn't too happy about practicing 3s, but he sure did thank me yesterday.
