Weighting a Pre2100wt

SORRY FOR NO PICS. No one had their cameras.

So I finally got out on the water after waiting for eternity it seemed. The water was freezing, the wind was like a huricane but I didn't care. I wanted to ride. Found some decent water and had 3 good sessions. Is there anyway to make the wake not so D@** steep? We had the boat loaded with people. 3 kids in the front (8,7,4), 6 adults spread between back and jump seat, taps was anywhere from 4-8 trying to play with it. At one point I don't remember what the taps was at but it looked you could surf the wake like a tunnel. Has anyone had any luck weighting one of these to get some decent transitions or am I stuck with the wake that looks like a brick wall until I finally get a new boat?

to a certain extent, the faster the better.

you have too much weight in the back it sounds like. Put some weight up in the nose and that will mellow the wake out for you. The taps is also going to make it steeper on 7/8 then it does on the lower settings like 3/4

I have the same boat and you need to go a little faster and make the rope a little longer. It will start to wash out some tho. The ideal weight I have found is about 6 adults in the boat and thats about as good as it will get with this hull.

On this model boat, other than the back compartment where could you store some sacks? I have none on my boat for storage reasons. I am trying to come up with some ideas to fix this but it's pretty limited

Not too many places to put ballast in that boat as you know. You could gat a "Phat Seat" and that would put A LOT of weight in the back. I just use "locker sacs" in mine. One in the trunk and one it the walk way and run the TAPS at 8 and just have fun with what it is.

Yeah it's a great starter boat for me but would love some more room for storage. You ever have problems with the nose going under with the sacks in the front?

Yes because we usually have a lot of weight up front in my 21 v when we're wakeboarding. The best way to avoid your own wake is to pull the throttle all the way back to neutral when you're slowing down and just as you about to drop off of plane, turn the wheel all the way to the right and put it in lock forward. Your wake will actually pass you by and you'll almost do a 180 right on the spot with a little practice.

As for other wakes, you just have to watch out for them and give it a little gas to bring the bow up to go through them. I usually try to line my boat up parallel to the incoming wake to avoid unnecessarily messing up any more water.

I would definately bump that up a bit. Needs to be like 23-24 ish. and just like the others have already said, weight the front a bit.

Ok so we went out today and had a huge improvement using the info you guys provided. Thanks a bunch. We had 4 adults and 3 kids in the boat. I had my wife and my sister and my 4 yr. old in the front, brother in-law driving and the other two kids in the back seat. We stuck with 24 mph and played with the taps and eventually left it at 2. I was a great improvement but still not where I want to be. That video on Tige You with the Lake Powell canyon ride with the 2150. Does anyone know who that is, how that boat was weighted? That is what I would like mine to look like. Mine was way better today, I wasn't having to charge the wake as hard as I normally do just to make it across. But it was still a little lippy.

That was my 2150. I'll have to go back and look at it again. I don't have any ballast. It must be the camera adding a little weight.

Thanks, that is a nice looking wake if I could get mine like that for a base that would be perfect and then just make that bigger with weight. Titts!!!!!!!!!!
