How many of you name your boats? and if so what are the names. I have not named mine and dont know if I want to. Is it cheesy to name a ski boat?

Some people say It's cheesy, but I think It's fun and Is good to have If It's funny or creative. Our boat is not named, but our closest friends who own an all yellow Tige, named theres "Big Fat Yellow". It's cheesy, but their 6 year old son came up with It, and everyone knows the boat on the lake from the name.
My family would like to put a name on ours, but we really can't think of anything for an inboard, and yes, It is alot easier on bigger boats for some reason.

Ahhh yes....many summer days have been spent by me and my buddies hunting this species. Ever since getting the tower speakers and amp I've notice a significant increase in what we can land.

I don't think it's too cheesy to name the boat.
My 2002 Tige was called Doctor's Medicine. (I am a doctor and my wife thought of that name after we saw a boat called 'my prozac')
The new one doesn't yet have a name - how does 'Raisin' Cain' sound? (my last name is Cain).

We are kicking around the idea of naming the boat.
The I/O we just sold for the Tige was named "Blue Pearl".
We ordered our Tige in Blue, but we are not sure if we will use the name again.
last boat was named "playin' with my dingy" not sure what or if I wll put a name on this one.

Our first boat, a fixer uper, I named "Cheap Thrill" after a David Allen Coe song.
Just ordered the graphics for the new Tige "R.U. INSURD" as we are in the insurance business. (yes, I know I left out an '"e", but with 8 letters, it will fit a license plate)

Some of the favorites from the past
Panacea *mythical cure for all ills*
Sippin' Wet
"Divorce proceedings"
"Marriage Ender"
"My other lady"
"The ugliest F-in Boat you ever did see" --This was on a runabout that was so ugly the manufacturer didn't even attach their name. So I painted it Hunter orange, and put that name on the back. It's an ode to the Rednecks around here. Man I miss that boat.
"Sporting wood" (my other love is old wooden Chris Crafts and Garwoods)
The boat I learned to ski behind was named "We-Ski..."
My dad later replaced it with "We-Ski II"
I have a buddy who named his boat "Poppa Woody"
Since we always wanted a house on a lake, but have not found a way to swing that deal.
My wife and I think we should name our 24ve "Wakefront Property"
Kids want to name boat "Ski You Later"
Family is divided, so no name on boat yet.
Previous Boats:
Bonus Baby
Liquid Assets
Our boat doesn't have the name written on it, but our kids have named it:
Tigger the Tige

The boat I had before my Tige was named "Pair of Aces". The idea came to me in a card game and we were kidless at the time. I sold it to couple of guys who were best friends. The one guy's wife made the best friend promise to get him out after she died of cancer. I still see the boat occasionally...looks like the name still fits.
I never got around to naming my current boat.

Our last boat was named "The Wetter The Better". Our Tige we named "impatience". Since we didn't wait until we could afford to have it.

My boat now is named Rx Money- my wife is a pharacutical sales rep. My buddies is Teachers Pet- he and his wife are both teachers. I was thinking about Play'n Hookie as a name becasue I tend to get sick on Friday's or Monday's during River season.:D
As for the new boat I am not going to name it and leave it as is.

Cool Change. I like the song cool Change by Little River Band and my other boat was a 17 ft I\o with a 7 ft beam and seating for 7. So when we got our 2001 21v with a beam of 102 inchs that can seat 12 that is a Cool Change.

When at the sandbar my buddy Brian in an alcoholic slur said "that boats haulin pretty ***". He ment to say "pretty fast" and thus the name was born. So Haul'in Pretty *** is my boats name. Still haven't gotten it painted on yet.

I thought they were. I've affectionately (but unofficially as it's not on the boat) named mine "Hoochie Girl" due to the fact that's what i affectionately call the wife at times! Oh yeah, it also says "Hoochie Tower" on the tower, might have had something to due with it ;)

I named mine "The Ring". Reason being my girlfriend of 7 years is asking for the ring so when I went and spent more than $50K on a boat it was only natural to point out that is where the money for the ring went.
She is not too keen on it but can laugh about it...a little.

Just make sure she doesn't want to you to pawn "the Ring" for a ring. That would be horrible.
My wife proved she was a keeper when she said "Ok, we need a house, a Tige, and a truck to pull the Tige" I like those priorities!

Our boat is the "Double O".
There are several reasons we settled on this name:
My last name starts with O. Once we we're married (yes, the Tige came first), this worked.
"Double O" is a surfing term for double overhead. Mabey not quite so behind the Tige, but it's close.;)
If you've seen "Office Space" then you will appreciate the "Oh face".
I've always loved the boat scenes in Bond flicks.
Every good boat deserves a good name. If you haven't named yours, you should. Growing up, my grandfathers boat was named "Beach Party". With the last name of Beach, how could you not name it that? That tradition has continued with my uncle's new Bu named, what else, "Beach Party". I personally think it should have a "Too" tacked to the end, but what do I know?
