I just saw the pictures of the California event that was held at the Casino in Parker and was wondering how one gets notified about such things?

You can regularly check back in this section for upcoming events or you can subscribe to the Tigé E-Newsletter found here (http://www.tigeowners.com/owners.shtml)

Your local dealer should also have the information as well.

Hey matt,

I know your busy, but you think something like that could be planned for the texas-oklahoma area? What is involved in planning something like that? I mean I have planned caterings, and trips, but never something that has the potential to be nation wide. Anyone have a marina we could start at? I'd be interesed in helping someone plan this. First though we would need a place, then we would need some sponserships so we could have some prizes, activities, etc. Or we could just start small and say, everyone meet at a lake on friday for byob and byom(meat) and lets just cook out and grill, and make it the first ever texoma(just an example) tige owners meeting:)

I think theres an owners meet on lake travis in august, and we should have a get-together for waketoberfest too. There was a LOT of boats out there last year w/ only a few Tigé's. It'd be really cool to have a bunch of us out there this year!

ahhh my bad. Thought it was at Travis. My friend Brian blew out his axle on the way to it... axle bearings were dry. Needles to say he's got bearing buddies now!

Domslude,

There was a Tigé Owners Reunion here in Dallas at Lake Lewisville last year. It was a cool event, they gave a way a goodie bag that included decals, shirts, key chains, koozies and more which I thought was awesome. The boat give away was a nice deal too. I am not 100% sure if this will happen in the same place or not. As soon as I hear the final details I will post in the Owners Reunions section. Here is a link to the past owners reunion. http://www.tige.com/tige2003/news/mediainformation/8-28-03.htm

We could always get some type of gathering or boat hop for local members. What does everyone think about that?

Matt

Hey Matt,
Great Idea if we do it early like april or may we should be able to camp-out on lewisville or texoma. I would be in for that.
Keep me in the loop. Btw we need to get togther and ride on lewisville.
I have a hard time getting my friends to pull me. They would rather go to the party cove and hang out.....can't really blame them all that much.
But hey I bought my boat to use, not just sit on the lake all day!

i'll meet up with ya anytime you want, and I can bring my boat of you can bring yours, and we can pull all day:)

How come there aren't any gatherings a little closer to the east coast?

Banks - Get your local dealer involved and put together something. Or better yet, take your ideas to your dealer. I think it is a great idea for us to get together and talk about how much we like the boats. We put on our first reunion last summer here in Dallas and it was a hugh hit with the Tige owners! I can't wait for this summer to see if we can't double the number of boats that show up. Who knows, maybe we can get enough Tige dealers involved and start to do a National Reunion. How much fun would that be!!

Michael,

I know what you mean about trying to find someone to ride with. I am in the same situation your in. Everyone likes to go to party cove as well. Let me know when you got out and I will ride with you or vice versa. I also want to check out that "secret" cove. ;) Nice to meet you too.

Just joined this evening - To be honest I 'd rather it not be at Lake Lewisville - last year we got the mailer from Slalom Shop the MONDAY AFTER the event which totally turned me off to it and I don't live 500 miles from the dealership so not sure what the deal was but I do appreciate this site - I've been asking for it since I toured the Factory in the spring of 200 - before I bought mine that fall.

This site will take things like late publicity by a dealership out of the equation.

Cudos on the site.

Possum Kingdom?
anyone been there? I havent, but heard there is a rock face that goes for days (exageration) and it is great to wakeboard by.
I was thinking of pitching some tents and having an all out weekend there of boarding.

Matt Garcia

my22footer,
Thanks. It is strange that you did not get the notice earlier, The Slalom Shop is usually on it when it comes to that type of thing. I personally can guarantee that those types of events will be posted here as soon as I get word.

yllw20, I have not been their but have seen pictures and it does look really nice.

I think if we do a boat hop or gathering for the local members it would have to be at a central location in Texas so it can facilitate everyone. Just don't know which lake?

Ruune
02-19-2004, 05:11 PM
Austin is pretty central... how about lake austin or Travis? Camp Peternales on Travis is phenominal for boarding!

Matt Garcia
02-19-2004, 05:27 PM
True...never been to either of them though. What does everyone think about the Austin location?

Ruune
02-19-2004, 05:30 PM
The guys at the ski dock in austin had a get together last august, so they'd know where the best place to meet would be... the Perd is one of my favorite places to ride!

yllw20
02-19-2004, 06:32 PM
I have been to travis....camped at the dam campground. Love lake travis...had good time at devils cove too. I am planning on going down sometime before it gets too hot at night. Ruune will definately drop a line to you to meet there.

Awesome... I'll be taking delivery of my 22v sometime around the end of march. I usually ride on Medina- its near SA, but I'll be heading up to the ATX and Travis w/ it. I'm kinda thinking of camping out at emma long or somewhere around the perd... maybe we could get a group of ppl with and w/o boats!

yllw20
02-19-2004, 06:44 PM
let me know and I will be in. I dont know that lake well. we stayed at the dam because it looked like the best place for overnight camping.

I've heard the Brazos River in Waco is a nice place (less effected by wind) and is directly between D/FW and Austin - plenty of lodging and I think you can camp. Anyone on here know much about it?

Ian

Matt Garcia
02-19-2004, 07:12 PM
I sometimes ride on the Brazos River at Tin Top, near FT. Worth. The river sometimes gets narrow but the whole river is always glass. It would be good to go a river or lake someone is familiar with.

my22footer
02-20-2004, 04:34 AM
From What I've heard and seen the Brazos at Waco is like a big version of the riverwalk in San Antonio in that they have better control of the river level and fewer obstructions and I know it is wider there than at Tin Top - I think other Boat Manufacturers have had owners events on the brazos in Waco but I'm open to Austin as well if someone can promise me nice water.

PK (possum Kingdom) is like 9 ft low right now and it won't get better as the year progresses - I'd stay away from it with the level of boat traffic alone (all those rock walls make it hell with even the slightest boat traffic - wave reflections) and there are alot of BIG boats on that lake that like to run 65+.......

just my 2cents

The Camp Peternales area on travis is very windy, but can get low sometimes. It's always glass though! Lake austin is a consistent level lake, and there's a lot of spots that you can find glass there too. The only drawback of Lake Austin is that the water is colder than Travis, because of the water feeding in fromt he bottom of the dam. It gets REALLY nice in the summer though. :D

I"m for what ever. I'd drive down from OKC and haul my boat. I just want to meet up with a bunch of people. I think it would be kick ***!!!

Just keep everyone posted.

The owners regatta in Parker Arizona is put on by the owner of Tige Watersports in Southern California. The 03' party brought well over 100 boats and some 800 guests. Talk to anyone who has attended one of his 12 annual parties and they will tell you there is none better.
If you are interested call the dealer for details.

I am not a big fan of Lewisville. It would be close for me, but it always seems to be very rough.

There is a spot on Lake Travis just past Pace Bend where the Pedranales River enters the lake that is very nice and plenty of room for lots of boats. Also camping is close for those that are into that kind of thing.

Tin Top is a sweet place to ride. That is where I normally go. However, it may get kind of crowded if the turn out was good. On the other hand maybe we could crowd out some of the Mastercrafts, Natiques and Malibus.

Sounds like fun wherever it ends up....Please keep us posted.

don;t mean to jump in on what seems to be a mostly texas thread ;) Here in colorado our dealer holds a annual tige party. they do an awesome job! goody bags as well as a couple of contests. Best Rig (boat and tow rig), most hours (i got this one twice), and best stereo (got that one last year). for colorado, i think the turn out is pretty awesome. around 40 or so tiges. 2 of the friends i brought last year bought new tiges! Gotta say our dealer rox!

I moved to So Cal from Littleton, CO last summer...where is the Tige event held at and what time of the year? Is it @ Cherry Creek Res? or Chatfield? I might just have to take a little trip back there if this event is as fun as you say.

Hey Matt, I know there's alot of Tige Event's down in the US but what about up here in canada? Something should be arranged for this summer up here, maybe in British Columbia, Canada, in the Kelowna area or the Shuswap area. Both have an abundance of water to choose from plus beautiful mountain scenery and awsome tourist attractions. I have talked to my dealer and he doesn't know of any or how he could plan one since we're in Saskatchewan. If you have any ideas let me know.

tigetex, being that Austin is somewhat a central location that sounds like where it may end up. TinTop is nice but seems that it would get kind of crowded.

blr, this event would not be a Tigé reunion, but more of a local TigéOwners.com Texas event.

canadianparamedic, I am not sure how Tigé decides on the location of certain states or provinces (in your case). I will try to find out about how it is selected and hopefully post the Owners Reunion schedule ASAP.

matt - would you accept out of state guests? the wife and I as well as some other friends have been wanting to make a trip down to texas to check it out. we are very interested in riding on the brazos (sp) and checking out some other lakes as well. it would be great to see the texas tige support out there as well. we also find it quite funny that people in texas actaully stop riding during the winter, from what we here your lakes never actually have ice on them??? -grin-

I used to live in Austin right on Lake Travis and we loved it. Unlike Lewisville, the other boats are in contol and the water is really nice. I havent been to P-Kingdom Lake but I heard its really nice. As long as there is a Tige Reunion or gathering, I dont care where it is...I'd be up for anything...

Ya for sure! I just said Texas only because I don’t know of anyone else who would want to make the drive. Everyone is welcome to come.

Well not all us stop riding in the winter, their are people who ride in the winter. I personally can’t hang with the cold water, that is for the diehards. I guess I am not hardcore!:D
