Hit the Az boat show this weekend in hopes of seeing some deals and was very discouraged. Talked to Mastercraft about a 08 X-star thinking maybe 70k to start and work from there. Oh no we started at 100K then the 10% boat show special, 5k from the factory rep, maybe another 5k off if you win a “smarter than a fifth grader game”. We ended at about 75K, what a joke! That boat is maybe 50k nice but not 70K. Wanted to get them out of the way so I could go to the Tige’ area and see some real world pricing. First thing I walk up to is a RZ2 with a 99K price sticker on it, no wait 78k boat show special. What!! Does the RZ2 really run 78k? Well the boat that really caught my eye was an all black 09 Z1, What a sharp looking boat! But the pricing was just as disappointing, over 55K before tax. They had another Z1. It was a Black/white 08 with 09 graphics, Sampson tower, and speakers. But it was still almost 50K after tax. Well it looks like my next boat will found the old fashion way, from the boat trader or Craig’s list.

Wow, the Z1 was suppose to be Tige's entry level boat from my understanding. But at $50k+, they aren't going to get a lot of families into that boat let alone any boat. :(

yeah hate to say it but the RZ2's have an MSRP from Tige at 100k. I think that's a freaking joke!!
The Z1 is supposed to start at around mid 30's, but they are jacking it sky high too. In this economy and those prices there will be NO new sales. Oh well, guess they are just gonna loose their ARSE :(

Just wait for a leftover from the year before, killer deals then.

That all black Z1 is sweeet!!! I think your local dealer is smoking crack by trying to sell an RZ2 for $78k.

Yes, there are some real killer deals on previous year models. The problem with the 2009 models (if you can say it's a problem) is that they stepped it up and made their boats very competitive with other brands.

However, this 2009 RZ2 seems to be priced about right...

The all black Z1 is nice but i don't think I would want to keep the water spots off of it.

A little Babe's Boat Bright while you're wiping it down after each use will keep those away.

Entry level pricing for a Z1 was a joke when i looked last year. Ended up with the Moomba, best entry level pricing for what you get in the industry. $39,600 otd last March, loaded. Shoulda actually been around $45K otd but i got a deal.
Water spots; Piece of cake, Babe's as soon as it's pulled up the ramp and distilled vinegar & distilled water 50/50 mix when any do show up. Black from just above the rubrail down to the keel. Heavy wax coat probably helps too ...

I agree that they do seem expensive, but these are very nice boats. The boat that you referred to Gizmo, a '09 RZ2, was not 78k but under 72k. And that was a very loaded boat. The RZ4 was just over 76k. There are some great deals on last year's boats, but no give-em-away prices on the '09s.

I was at the Seattle boat show yesterday and the prices were horrible. Mastercrafts were over $100K for X-35's,X-45's, X-star's etc. Malibu's were way overpriced for the quality of the interiors IMO. The Tige's were not too bad $ 50k for Z1, $65k for 09 22ve Low $70's for RZ4. Supra and Moomba booths looked dead, Nautique looked sharp with their new towers and the Axis boat was better in person but still looked cheaply built.
If I were buying new I would stay loyal to Tige with a RZ2 but Nautique would be running a close second with their 09 230.

All my pricing notes from the show had tax added in. Was looking for the "out the door price".

Check out www.boatdockmarinegroup.com
They still have 4 new boats (2 Z1's, 22Ve and a 24Ve) and a Demo rz4.
Need to get rid of them quick and it would be hard to beat the price on any of them.

I have bought 2 Tiges from Stuart at NAMG and he has taken really good care of me both times. Really cool guy, and someone I now consider a friend. Highly recommend him. :ro:
