Here are a couple vid clips from the 16th anuall Smith Mountain Lake water ski club New Years polar bear day event.

My brother is the 2nd one to climb out on the boom and foot-in' the new year. Also include some links from the local news paper that covered the event.

This was the coldest day they have had in the past few years, my brother still waits for truely authentic conditions, ice, snow, below freezing temps, and very frigid water, and maybe just a little bit of wind just to finish things off.
