...seems a little pricey in this market, but it is one sweet looking boat. I would imagine he'll have to find just the right buyer for something that "loud."
Those graphics are bound to turn off as many as they turn on. :02:

seems really nice.
I'm guessing he is selling due to the economy, but maybe not.
I hope he gets that price, but with the price of boats these days I just don't know. IT's sad cuz that is a really sic set up!

yeah that was my point and wetsounds has more done to it, again not trying to dog his boat because it his nice, this economy is just rough right now.

They're sorta like dirt bikes... you can put as much after-market, huge cash extras on it as you want, but when you sell it you end up eating ALL of the extras because people just don't care or won't pay. I try to limit (as much as possible) my add-ons to items that are easily removed so I don't have to buy them repeatedly or lose my arse selling them with the item.
I LOVE the wrap though. I would pay him a small premium over a similar boat for that.

That wrap is sic!!! I agree...
But, I don't think he is going to get that price for that boat. But again, I could definitely be wrong.... Wonder why he hasn't posted it on tigeowners??? But dom is probably correct about the economy statement since I think he works in the realty market but again, I know he likes to have big boats also. :02:

I think it pretty cool but in 3 or 4 years I bet it looks very dated which may make the resale tough except to a very select buyer. I wounder if it would look better w/ the Alpha Z tower?

My bad, I was thinking that a wrap for a marine application would have to be extremely tacky. (no pun intended for those that do not like the graphic)
Never tried but I am guessing they would be a pain to remove after being on for several years unless they are like the 3M bus wraps but even those are designed for short usage.

Low is in the $62k area per NADA. I would definitely start there or a little lower. :02:

Tim(wetsounds) also has a triple axle trailer and more significant stereo installed. Don't forget the custom painted engine in the wetsounds boat also.
wetsounds has a 6.0L as well wich makes it a little more desirable to me.

Sup,
I've been lurking around again and I just noticed this thread about my boat. It's kind of funny to see a thread about you 3 pages deep before you ever notice. Where to begin:
I had a newborn last June and I'm completely preoccupied with him. I'm in real estate, which makes me worry at times, but financial I'm just fine. In-fact, the feds efforts are starting to show and we're cranking again. I own my mortgage company with my brothers and our outlooks are very different. My other brother has the new $500k DCB 35 coming out of it's mold next week, he put twin 850hp mercs with 6 drives in it. With that being said, I don't want to be naive or take what I have for granted like my older brother. You could say I'm having a minor newborn baby / economic freak out that's making me wonder if my pre-baby priorities were a little messed up. All I care about now is accumulating cash, I never want my little dude to feel the stress I do. I recently sold all my cars including my brand new Nissan GT-R. If my financial epiphany fades and I revert back to a spendy Nuck'n Fut"s, I'll buy another RZ4 or I'll be a complete idiot and get a big DCB cat, Dave's always really good to us and his fit and finish is second to none.
In regards to my boat. The wrap has a 5 year warranty and comes off very easily. I knew more people would dislike my wrap, than like it. That's why I made sure it comes off easily.
Ok, the wetsounds boat is nice. The sound system better be louder than mine, however, I think it's safe to assume it's being sold a little differently than how he had it. Tim used my boat wrap guy, so I can't say anything about the wrap. The triple axle is nice, but I guarantee my trailer cost more especially with my rims and tires. Anyone who has read my threads over the years knows how I feel about the 6.0 liter, that engine is definitely inferior. My last Tige was lemon lawed due to that motor. I tried to get Tige to use an 8.1L in my RZ4, however, they had some issues with the test boat and getting it to work well. I don't think he has a Samson tower and my boat has extremely low hours. Anyhow, his boat is very nice and I wish him the best selling it.

Glad things are still going well for you, we were kinda worried. I definitely understand about the priorities and I think a lot of Americans are right there with you. The Street let everybody down and it's gonna be a long time until folks take their cash back there again. Early trends are showing that more people are saving than ever before. That said, it's going to be a while before all the excess gets washed through the system and things get back to normal.
BTW, cute kid!

depends on how fast you wanna sell it, it's a SICK boat and a good deal, just the issue is no one want's to spend money now aday's. If he needs to move it ASAP yeah 54 would sell it, I'd almost buy it for that price, but it's just hard today.

again, that might sell it, just depends, right now it's hard to sell boats due to the winter season coming, if you gotta sell it, 60 would sell it. The problem is you can go buy a new rz2/4 for almost 50k, granted it may be an 07 or 08, but it's right off the floor. It sucks for sellers right now, no one is buying. We need people to start buying to get the economy back. I bought my car to help out. :D

Very true. I didn't sell my 24Ve and had to reaccess my ideas on what I need to do with it.

someone is gonna look at it? I thought about it, esp if I sold mine, but I'm just not sure. I really like the alpha z tower, and I think an RZ2 is perfect for me. I also need to move to a better area for lakes. I won't be buying another boat as long as I live in Bako. BV sucks IMO.

Nuck n' Futs let me sure I get your option straight. You think the acts by the fed make you feel that the mortgage market is going to fall more?
The acts by the fed have put my industry in motion, especially yesterdays actions. I walked into work today and about fell out of my chair. My par rate was 4.25% for about an hour this morning. (30 year fixed.) That gives my loan officers a 4.5% rate to sell on the street, that's really strong. I have roughly 1500 loan officers around the US and they were super busy today. I bet we locked more loans today than we ever have in a single day. This burst of activity only helped part of my industry, which is basically the refi group that's been sitting on the sidelines. The low rates will give people more buying power for their dollar, so it should start trickling down into the purchase market.
I don't have to sell my boat right now and obviously it goes away faster if the price becomes impossible to pass up. I think my price is right between a fire sale and a great deal. I just need a buyer that loves my setup. There is a major design hour difference between my wrap and the wet-sounds boat. I have over 3 months of design hours in my wrap and it's 3 different layers. I think Tim's wrap is very cool, however, it should have been very easy to create. In hindsight, I would have left my wife out of it so it stayed simple. Live and learn!

Can I ask what the sq ft price was to have your wrap printed? and If you designed yourself or worked with a graphics designer?
RID22
12-19-2008, 02:18 AM
I can't remember the sq ft price and my wrap would be a horrible baseline. My wife and I sketched what we wanted and tweaked it over 3 months. Matt Krueger, the owner of Axiom Graphics, did all the computer graphic work. He definitely played a monster role in creating the design. He's a young guy and he has a good read on what looks good based upon the customers requests. Some of our other designs were NUTS, he steered us back into reality.
I have multiple layers and lots of different finishes to give depth to the design, so my price per sq ft is way out of wack. You could call Matt at Axiom to get real idea of the cost. I bet Tim from wetsounds, paid a more normal price. If I had to guess at the cost of the wetsounds wrap, I would say $2500 or less. Then again I could be way off.
