Anyone interested in an '08 RZ4 at a great deal? 141 hrs, blue hull, tower speakers, cover, bimini, ballast, 400HP and more.

It is a bank repo that I am helping sell. Needs buffed, maybe a little wetsanding here and there and a good interior cleaning as well as 2 seat cushions need the bolster re-covered.

First $42,500!!!! IT IS A HECK OF A DEAL AND WILL NOT LAST. I am a Fl dealer and have emailed a few people on it. I'd say if you spend $1500-2000 you could have it looking excellent. Oh, it is on a Tige` trailer too.

If it isn't sold by the end of the week I will buy it to sell and the price will be well in the low $50's.

pm or email me if you are serious as i don't have time for tire kickers. I can do financing if you credit is good through Essex.

I have pics but not in this laptop. I can email them to you.

Like I said, it won't last at this price. I am an Epic dealer and just have too much tied up in used boats to buy it right now. I have had a 24Ve on here this summer, am 1000% legit, and this is the best deal on here or anywhere that I have seen. I sold the '07 24Ve I had on here for $43K, dogbert remembers me I am sure....I pass along deals. Any questions, let me know.

Is it just me or does the carpet in the cockpit locked ripped up?

Are you using photobucket? This will let you upload more than two at a time. Can we see pictures of what needs improvements?

Man that boat looks like it has taken a serious beating. I don't know for sure or not if it has been in Salt Water but I have to also agree with Spenchy. It looks like it has a tear in the carpet.

On that note this could be a heck of a deal. If some one could find a passion for cleaning it up and doing the repairs they could have a smoking deal on a big boat.

goboatingfl

Carpet is stained but no tears. There are a few tears in the bow center and cockpit center rear cushions. Other than that, the carpet is stained and it is sun faded with some scratches above the swim platform and a few on the hull. Most would either buff or wet sand. For $2K one could easily have all done and to be in this boat all ready to go for less than $45K would be easy. It would be better if someone did it all themselves where all you'd have to do is a little upholstery work and the carpet and elbow grease. I won't be back where I can get close ups until Thursday as I am in SC right now.

Here are a few more pics.

for 42K you can't expect it to be in perfect condition. That is a heck of a deal if you ask me. I really like that color combo. My dealer had one but it was an RZ2, wanted the 4. Is it me or do the seats not seem very white? Might just be the camera/lighting.

It looks to me that someone knew it was going to be repo'd so they said screw it and trashed it. If its from FL i'd have to say its been in salt water alot.

I think it is an early 08 and may have been a factory demo first, it has a few things that are kinda 07'ish like the Kicker components in cabin and on tower and ballast switches by the divers knee. Doesn't really matter, just an observation :02:

They need a good cleaning just like the entire boat but to buy at $12-15K below market value, well they'll clean up. One may not have a brand new boat but they'll be in one right and be able to sell it in 2-3 years for what they paid for it.

OMG!!! Great deal but sorry, I don't need another boat. :D

FYI, that blue will get very, very hot during the summer but for $43k, that is still not going to be a deal breaker. :02:

did you ever sell you 24Ve da.bell? Is your new boat an RZ2 or 4? How do you like it? My wife is really wanting to buy it and us just keep it. Do the push ups over the winter and have it ready come spring but I just have to many right now.

da.bell
10-22-2008, 02:18 PM
Have not sold the 24Ve. The boat took a huge his on NADA and I just can't go that low. So, I have some other plans for it.

We did get the RZ2. LOVE IT and would do it all over again. The handling of the boat is awesome and seems to manuver on a dime. Okay, maybe a basketball. :D

However, I would like to get out on a RZ4 one time and test the handling on that boat. Might ask my dealer to let me tag along on one of his test rides this coming spring if he takes it out. :02: I'll be the quiet one in the back just sitting, relaxing, and seeing what it can do. :D

On a little history on this boat. It has been kept on a lake in Florida, just wasn't covered much and was kept in the water. I talked to the dealer who sold it, clean warr history and went in service 8-2007. I looked it over and it doesn't show salt water use which is tough to hide unless you flush and wash it after running it in saltwater. I don't think this owner would have taken that kind of time.

With what we can see goboatingfl, I agree. The owner didn't have time to do chit!!!!!

It's a deal though and if it was pristine, it wouldn't be available I guess. Still one of the best deals I have came across in a long time, of course when I am low on cash too!!!

I'm going to be honest, I don't think the boat will go for that by your deadline. I hope I'm wrong, but I do not believe that the market has bottomed out. As we enter late fall and winter, there will be more and more boats on the market as well as additional repo's. Then throw in high gas prices, and you have tough times for boats. Gas is coming down, but look at the numbers, we're at the lowest since last year this time, which means we're probably going to see this cycle year after year. I'm confident that the economy will rebound, but people could be sitting on some things for a while if they are trying to get fair value, and others out there will put more stock in the time value of money. Sorry for the doom and gloom. Just my 5 cents worth. I hope you prove me wrong

da.bell
10-22-2008, 05:15 PM
... and others out there will put more stock in the time value of money.

Reason why I am keeping the 24Ve right now. :D

And of course it didn't sell when I wanted it too. ;)

Contrary to that, used boats are still selling as me being a smaller dealer sell a half dozen or so a month. Now this kind of boat is slower right now than others due to time of year, I am selling bay boats, pontoon and deck boats very well right now. I see alot of boats each month and the auctions are still quite high as boats last week were bringing about 85-90% of nada trade-in (dealer only auctions). Compared to most other '08 RZ4's at $65K and up this one will sell as the market isn't going to drop $20K. What are the mfr's going to do?? The mfr's do need to have a price adjustment but it isn't going to be that much. I haven't pushed this boat much, only here and to a couple others but will be in Orlando tomorrow and will put it out to the locals there too as I know this site has limited exposure.

Auctions? What auctions? There isn't a place where the marina's can take all their inventory and unload it like the car dealers. For the most part all boat dealers have is the internet.

goboatingfl
10-23-2008, 12:06 AM
Not true. I attend 4 boat only auctions each month that are dealer only sales and each range from 125-175 boats per month. Some months more. There are actually quite a few of them around the country. Where are you spenchey?

Is this TigeOwners?? Reading all the posts from goboatingfl here I thought I was on a QVC site or EBay or at some used car auction. I can understand wanting to tell TigeOwners about a deal, maybe once, but this is blatant spam. Maybe if you "buy it today" he'll throw in a Ginsu knife set ... "Oh, wait! And there's more! If you order right now we'll throw in this .... worth $$$" !! :p. Goboatingfl: we get the idea. I'm sure you're making a profit if you sell it. Now go put it on Ebay or somewhere.

I see completely where you are coming from.

Here is why I think this is different: This is not just some ordinary classified ad. This is a smokin' deal. This boat retails for 25K more than he is asking, new. I am glad he shared it. If it weren't so far away and so blue, I might be all over it. And the fact it looks like it stayed outside uncovered in a Hurricane.

In the past i have been the first to call guys out on bogus threads disguised as something else. The title says what the thread is about.

If you don't want to see a boat for sale, then look at the headline of the thread and don't click on it. He did not try to disguise what the thread was about.

I think it is worthy of staying in the general discussion.

It might have been a little harsh but the guy has been a member for 3 weeks and gets on here to bash what I felt could be a good opportunity for someone who can't spend $65-80K for this boat and to one who doesn't mind putting some work getting it back looking good. So for being harsh, my apologies, I just felt this was a good place to offer it and didn't see the post worthy of being slammed. Most would just buy the boat and do the pushups, then put it on here for $60K.

North west Iowa. My dear has said his biggest problem is that the boat industry does not have an auction like the auto dealers do. Unless you're going to a "junk sale" not a franchise sponsored auction.

My reference to harsh was the criticism being placed on you by 720 not by your post. I hope that you don't misunderstand me. I just thought that his comments towards your posting of this thread were a little over the top. It's not a big deal, if someone doesn't like a thread then don't read it.

I can vouch for the boat auctions as well, my uncle regularly attends a huge one in the Houston area, I think Manheim Auctions owns it. Our local auto auction also runs about 20-30 boats weekly at the end of the auto auction. That poor boat was ABUSED! My 3 year old 22v used 99.9% in salt water doesn't show any sign of abuse like that thing.

I go to the car auction in Minnesota and they run a few boats through too, but 20-30 i'm guessing they are mostly junk. My dealer has been saying that he just can't take a good chunk of inventory to the auction. I've never seen anything like a tige,mc, or bu go through. All the boats i've seen are junk. This is also a Manheim auction.

No, they are usually pretty nice, repos or boats that a small used car dealer took on trade and hasn't been able to sell. There was even a fairly new x-star that someone bought that my dealer was putting a new engine in. I think the thread starter was just trying to pass on a good deal to someone that might have been in the market that didn't mind putting in a little elbow grease. Give the guy a break.

Ft Worth and Houston both have big sales. Cinci is also big as well as one in MO. These are all either maneim or Adesa but they are hit and miss for wake boats. To find them you just about have to be ready go to the sale and see what is there. I buy alot of deck and pontoon boats as well as others at these sales and get really nice boats.

Anyway, back on the RZ4, anyone interested in it for $40K?? I just talked to the bank rep and that is where he is at. He'll be taking it to a sale soon. I told him I'd pay $37,500 today but he said he can't do that.
