Took my Select baseball team 10U out yesterday for a day a slinging them around on a 4 person tube. Great day until I started wiping everything down and found a rip in the back upholstry on my RZ2.   Is it possible that the tube line's pressure ripped the upholstry?
The rip is on the small 'hinge' area.
I noticed in those Lake Powell pics, the Malibu had some kind of Malibu tube on their rope. What is that? I think I will need one in the future.:(

Should had the team leave the spikes at home  J/K :D

We do a heck of a lot of tubing and have not had anything so much as a wear mark from the tow rope. I just dont see rope causing a tear/cut. Feel around it and make sure it;s not cause be the tip of a screw thats too long, we had our engine cover re-skinned because the latch had a screw too long and pocked through from the inside. :02:

I would also doubt that the tube ripped the vinyl. A good vinyl shop will have that repaired pretty inexpensively.

Good to hear you sharing that boat. I bet the kids had a blast!

They all had a blast. I am sure the attendance bell came early for all of them at school this am.

lincdarrow,

Thats's call a shock or kick back protector. Used for skiing to keep the rope from flying back in the boat. Go to Overtones and look for part number 19231 the are only $14.95. I use an old trailer guide post cover with Tige' printed on it. I works great. Just put a large enough knot in both sides to keep it from sliding back
