Deciding on the color of the new truck. Here is a pic of the 2 colors. Our boat is white and pacific blue.Dirt bikes are orange and blue. I know black is hard to keep clean. The all terrain truck is not offered in blue and its a dark blue.
Just checking on your guys opinions. Thanks for any thoughts.

bottom - like you said (and I have had black cars) black cars are impossible to keep clean.

The bottom one looks like it could be already half converted to a Mexicali low rider truck.

I would choose a style like the top one, but a color like the bottom.

But when then are clean, they look better then any other color out there.

black truck will have a better resale value than blue, the one in the bottom will be easier to keep clean, but odds are there will be a ton of those vs the black ones:02:

As mentioned boat is white and pacific blue. I never gace white that much of a chance as the trucks I drive at work are white and I kinda feel like a color--I know, the school teacher says black is not a color. I wont rule it out and it would match the boat. Thanks for your guys input. The manufacturers just dropped there lease programs in Canada so I will buy and have this truck for awhile. 0% interest though and 8000 off the sticker price

Oh yeah the mark up here is huge. Even with the 8g off I will still probably pay 5G plus over what I could get one for in the states.

The bottom one. Black ones also show scratches and swirl marks very easily.

Its not just vehicles, its everything. Our Tige dealer has posted on there website--they will try and match the US prices. For whatever reason prices are just lower, and usually a lot lower.

You should be able to get more than $8k off of sticker, I got that much last year and that's before the gas prices went up and trucks stopped selling.

Problem is I live in oil rich area where eveyone has a truck to pull toys and "just cause you need to have a truck--guy thing". Look at bspots post a couple of lines up. I dont think there is a shortage of truck sales here, but I dont know for sure---there is lots of new ones on the road and where I work.

GM does not want to drop the MSRP because when the dollar fluctuates it is easier to offer rebates that the change the sticker price. Boats are much different, the dealer pays the same US dollar when the boat crosses the border. GM canada sets the MSRP which is a seperate company to GM of america.

 that means theres more negotiating room on the truck....right or am i drunk??

with the price of fuel and the poor economy, dealers would be throwing trucks away wouldnt they? didnt GM take massive losses this/last yr?

you should get it really cheap.

In the US they are giving them away but in Canada it sounds like things are different.

would it be worth buying on in the states and driving it back, or is there a large import tax?

They have made it extremely hard if not impossible to do this.IE--no financing,no warranty for 6 months, different emission guidelines, brokerage and paperwork out the ying yang. I have explored it more and might only be paying 3g more at most and no hassle.

Dont forget that the lights and IP are different, they would have to be swapped out.

A loaded up truck with the all terrain package I can get for about 45g,MSRP is around 51g. I am still negotiating.

For 45 grand I hope it is the 3500 diesel 4x4 with leather and all the goodies.
If not that is a rape in progress.

I looked closer and noticed they are shortboxes so that would mean 2500.
Tell me the 1500's aren't going for $45,000.

that sounds rather cheap for a nice big truck like that. you pay heaps for them here, but i guess we do have to import them.

I regret to inform you that it is a 1500. On the GM US site they price the same truck at 42000 but I know there are way better deals its just they have made it hard for we Canadians to jump the boarder to get one.So the hands are a little tyed. I can see if they will throw in the loob though LOL

Man, don't worry about the color get whatever they have in stock that has everything you want regardless of color and get the truck wrapped with some wicked sick pictures that fit your families activities. :D

We have seen it on our boats and it looks great, do it to the truck too!

Thats funny we were just talking about getting a white truck and wrapping it with pacific blue graphics to match the boat--maybe with a Tige logo. Just have not checked out a cost to wrap it yet---maybe Tige will fund me.
