So. California Winterization?

I plan to use my boat during the winter maybe every other weekend. I didn't plan on doing any winterization other than drain the engine after each use and keep it in the garage. I just read So. California leads the country in winter damage insurance claims. What are you other So. Cal owners doing?

draining your block should be fine. as long as the weather gets above freezing during the day i don't think there will be a problem. temecula gets about 30deg at the lowest, then 60deg during the day?

Without me reading the Mercruiser manual can you tell me how to drain the block? I have a 2000 350 MAG MPI.
