Question on length of boat on trailer?

I have a 2003 22v Riders Edition with a Metcraft tower, sitting on a Dorsey trailer with a swing away tongue. Does anyone know the length and height required to fit in a garage with the tower folded down? My garage has 7'11" clearance and 22'3" length. I'm really tired of how dirty it gets from storing it outside, plus my storage facitility is very far from my house.

Definately sounds like length will be an issue. Not sure about height, depends on the garage.

21 feet 8 inches is the boat then there is the TAPS plate of 9 inches... Boat is the problem not the trailer. :02:

Thanks for the response, It's a three car garage. I wonder if I could fit it diagonal in two spaces. I would give up a spot for my truck to get the boat in. Can the taps late come off easy?

Unfortunately, no it does not come off easy.

You understand that you will have to take the swim platform off, right? I did that for a while, but it is kind of tough to do with 1 person unless you have a 7 foot wingspan. :ro: :D

I think if you took the swim platform off, it should fit diagonaly. I would think anyways. Trial and error my friend.

Hopefully you have a folding tongue, take off the swimstep, and get 4 of these

Back into your garage after removing the step, put the jacks on, real easy. Then you can roll around and angle very easily. This is what I do in our warehouse, and it takes just minutes. I put a 24Ve in a warehouse 25 ft deep.

micah, send me a picture of the back wall of your garage, you might be able to do a minor remodel on the back wall to get the clearance your looking for.

Rag, Thanks those are going to work great in my situation. I have a set of stairs on the back wall of the garage going into the house and I'm worried I don't have enough width room to back it in. That leaves turning it around and putting the nose in first in the corner. Bentone, I'll send pictures tomorrow night.
