does anyone here know how many boats Tige produces a year? My friend was telling me a number that sounded way too low to me. Just curious to see how many they make.

there are rougly 12,000 true inboard tow boats built a year domestically, according to NMMA data.

Where does your friend's number fall with respect to that?

I'm talking just Tiges tho. He was saying like 150, he got it out of some sales book at the marina and i find it hard to believe. I told him that have to make way more than that.

Way more than that for sure. I know you are talking just Tige.

Tige' is probably in the top 5 producers in terms of production volume.

The highest volume builders include Tige, Malibu, Skier's Choice, (Supra/ Moomba) and probably Centurion and Master Craft. Other boat builders are out there for sure, like Epic, MB, calabria, and others, but those guys build a lot fewer than the 5 companies above. I'm sitting here wondering about Correct Craft, and where they fall...

Over the last few years Tige has produced approximately 1600 boats a year.

Just to give you an idea...

In Q1 and Q2 of 2005 Tige sold 521 boats

In the same quarter of 2004 they sold 477 boats.

Remember these are only quarters. Tige was a top 6 manufacturer in 2007 with approximately 7.27% of the market share. I don't know the numbers for 07'.

If you really want to but his balls, you can buy a report from Statistical Surveys Inc. It's about $750 for non members or $250 for members! :)

I have the data somewhere as it is posted on boat test.com. I think Tige had like 850 some sales last year. Bu had 4000, MC 2500-3000, Moomba 1200, CC 1400 and so on. I will try and dig it up.

I know that TIGE' Mission is to ship 7 boats a day. If you do that math on 300 days which is reasonable for time of error and holidays that is 2100 per year.

7 a day sounds really high.

That is there mission it does not mean that is what they acctually do. When I was there the assembly line was jammed up waiting on interior work to be done.
