So after leaving work, I went to go get the boat for an evening of boarding on my private lake. Noticed there was some mud in the boat??????? Started looking and one of the speaker grilles was laying on the floor. Then noticed the sub was gone, and the midbass speaker under the driver side. So they took two woofers out of the components (didn't touch the tweets). They didn't touch any of the other components. I thought surely not... crawled in my hatch, and my amp rack was in pieces. They had got my amps too. :( I had forgot to put my security panel up which totally hides my amps. Depressing :( .... right before the 4th. Luckily I got short runs for power and grounds that come off the distro blocks, so that's not that big of deal to re-run the wires they clipped. But I do gotta re-run one set of wires for the comps that they clipped.
Tanner, Dam I am sorry to hear that... That sucks.
I hope everything else is good with the boat? Where did you have the boat stored?

I have a security camera aimed right at my boat. So we'll get to see who it was tomorrow. The storage has 15' metal fencing around it which is totally smooth on the outside, so they can't just climb it. So it has to be someone w/ a code, so we'll probably get a tag # tomorrow.
And yep I have state farm, If I claim monday I'll have a check at the end of the day or tues.
Glad to hear you will get the Bitch.......:)

CRAP, just realized, I gotta re-run 20FT RCA's that they clipped that come out of the WS-420.
Tanner
Did they get the ws-420?
Tanner

Nope. Didn't touch it. Nor the Watson 138 or my Shane Nor the headunit or Ipod for that matter.

O I will ... trust me. Guess this is what I get for letting the boat air out and not having it covered. :( I actually have my boat cover where it's lockable. It's not exactly hard to break my southern enginuity, but it deters most thieves. I tied chain onto the rope and pulled it up into the cover about 2 Ft on all 4 sides. Thieves see the chain and lock and don't usually mess with it when the cover is on. They figure the chain is ran the whole way through. I figured I was safe for a few days w/o the cover on... guess not :(

Dude that sux... Is your lake gated? What's the setup? I'm looking at a house on a private lake here and I worry about that stuff... Basically the house is on a private waterski lake and the boat would be out back on a lift... The community is gated and it seems pretty secure but you never know... I love it because it's in the middle of suburbia and I go out anytime and shred it up... The house is a foreclosure and I haven't had a chance to see the inside but the price is extremely right so I'm very seriously considering it... The only problem is selling my house right now in this crappy market... I don't care if the house needs work, I've been planning some upgrades on my current pad so I'll just sell my house as is...
OK sorry for the :ot: but if anyone has a setup like this PM me and let me know how it is...

You were just getting that system where you wanted it. That stinks. I don't understand why people are that way. What is going on in our country?

Well the boat was at my storage facility, which like I said.... has a 15' steel fence surrounding it, gated entrance AND exit, 24hr surveillance w/ a camera pointed right at my boat. We'll know in a few hours (when they open) what we got on camera (hoping a tag #).
My best friends dad is my insurance agent so I'm not worried about getting things done quickly. Especially considering I carry a couple Mill. plus policies with them :) ... they tend to jump when I ask.
This one's pretty cut and dry. I still have all my boxes for my amps, which have the serial #'s, just not the sub and factory speakers :(

I heard of a company that integrates wires into the cover and connects them to the snaps. I’d love to get a real good security system for my boat and trailers. Even a minni lojack or something
I lost $4000.00 worth of tools at a job site a few years ago. Even if they get caught, it’s not that big of a deal. (I lost 2 weeks business and $4000. for them to have a good weekend.) If you caught them, and properly explained how you felt, they could then sue and get everything else.
The homeowner said “So does that mean you will not be finishing up today, like you said you would!” (His mom and dad had given him the few mil it took to build his house.)

Yeah sorry buddy that sucks. Went out to check on a 22v in a storage unit and noticed the cover was pulled up a little, then noticed the gas cap was off, the bastards siphoned all my gas out. So I reported it to the unit and filed a police report, to kind of get the word out to whoever’s doing it. Nothing the police can really do about it. He said I was lucky they didn’t take my rims to. lol Still have not caught them, we moved the boat to a new location and have had no problems.
Let us know if you catch em...

That sucks sorry to hear that. Before I got into my new career I used to work in a prison.Just about everyone of the guys in there had done a break and enter or theft in there criminal career.Whats amazing is one of the worst things you can do in jail is go into someones room and steal something. You are labelled a dorm thief and can get pounded or shanked for stealing in jail. Talk about a double standard. It just p***es me off how we work hard for our things and these clowns steal it and think the world owes it to them.Just my opinion as I have first hand seen and dealt with there thought process.

Sorry to hear about your theft Tanner. Someone just broke into our car while we were boating at Lake Mead. Smashed out two windows right in the parking lot. took two backpacks that were supposed to be in the boat, but accidentally got left behind during the launching. The Glass was $700 to replace, a day on the water lost, as well as the cameras, gps and stuff. I just hate it. It's an easy days work for them. And an expensive one for us. I agree, even if they do find them they don't do anything. Kind of depressing, but still worth the fight. Good luck Tanner!

So there security camera set-up is cool. It's all motion tripped and they have a graph that shows when it's actually filming and they can go right to that by clicking on the graph. going through 4 days worth of film took no time at all. Only down fall is it doesn't trip on humans so it's pretty much worthless.
The security cameras show one car that pulled up there right to my boat. That wasn't supposed to be there. He does have a storage unit there at this location though. They only sat there for about 10 secs and then backed away and drove off (could be casing). When I was there, they hadn't reviewed the back side of the building to see if they walked through from it.

Very sorry to hear about the theft. Such an ugly side to some people in this world. Even in a gated community where our place is... there are locks on everything.

That really blows. Thieves are the devil! I had my garage door kicked in and 2 MX bikes stolen. Stupid SOBs left a fully worked race bike worth double the 2 they stole. I hope thye broke thier necks and got paralyzed on them and I hope those A$$clowns that stole your stuff get electrocuted hooking them up.
ps. I'm not sorry if that sounds harsh. I wish we could shoot thieves.

That is the s***ts. Two reasons they left the works bike 1-too hard to unload and it is to easy to pick out as it is original 2-they are too stupid to know the difference. I think that us bike riders on this site are going to need to see some pics of that works bike though!:D

About 9 months ago, my GF's truck, which I drove to work, was broken into and the thieves tried to steal it. The interesting part about it was that the thieves couldn't get around the alarm for some reason and they tried to steal the truck across the street from the Federal Courthouse and .25 blocks away from the County Jail and Courthouse. :D
You have to love the gutsy move on the thieves part. ;) Not to mention the $2,300 damage that they did that the insurance had to pay for. :(

That was 5 years ago...been through 1/2 dozen bikes since then. I actually just sold my last big bike a couple weeks ago :( :( :( broken neck, back, femur, ankle, both knees, shoulder, most of the fingers and toes.....I'm too old for that crap now. I had to realize my time was up. Boating is safer.
sorry to be OT.

Any more word Tanner??
My wife is really tripped out about the stereo being in the boat now because the boat normally sits next to the house in a storage thing (you know the vinyl portable garage type things) that has exactly ZERO security. I was thinking about a security system with cameras, but it sounds like yours was ineffective. Maybe I'll borrow some of 1Lab's "gaurd dogs.":p
