Once in a while I have 3 or 4 people jumpin' around on the platform and think, that's a lot of weight for a couple of angle brackets. Just curious how many people Tige's R&D department was able to pile on before it broke?

Good question, I would like to know myself.

I'm not sure if this will help, but just wanted to tell you what I've expereinced.

First time out on my boat I brought some friends and beer to drive around the lake to break in the engine. Well, two of my friends that came are rather large, one is over 300 and the other is right at it if not over. Well after we got done I noticed the plat form was not straight across. I called my dealer and I guess there is a recall on the metal supporting the teak. The old stuff was maybe quarter of an inch thick. They put the new stuff on and my friends have jumped off it to see if it would bend and it didn't. So if your friends are under 600 -650 I'd say your probably good. I had 8-9 people on mine on the fourth of july, weight probably almost 1000 just standing on it and it didn't do anything. Now I don't try and do this all the time, but with lots of girls and beer, things happen;)

I can't say exactly what weight a platform will hold, but I would think 3-4 people wouldn't be a big deal. Like domslude, I've had up to 8 people on mine without a problem.

Anyone remember those ballast tanks that hung underneath the swimplatform? I can't remember for sure, but I think those things held like 500 lbs. or so.

What's this about a recall on the brackets?? I had to have two of mine welder back together this summer and that was after a weekend of no real stress on the platform.

I'm not real sure. I took mine into the dealer and they told me there was a recall on it that the brackets were weak. The new one's I now have are thicker then the old ones.

Good info, can you post other service advisories? The Ski Dock is pretty proactive about letting me know, but it never hurts to get additional info. I have a '99 21V Limited.
